We stayed for my friends stag do. 16 of us all slept comfortably and we could even all fit round the table for dinner. With plenty of pool and darts to play when the weather wasn't going our way, I'd recommend this to any large group looking to get away from the hussle and bustle. Thanks again to our hosts.
We were a large family gathering -9 adults and 7 children. The facilities in the house were ideal for adults and children - everyone could have their own space while also being together. Lovely walks from the house - beach equipment also available. Everything made perfect for a special family weekend. Thankyou to a marvellous host.
8 adults, 7 kids and 3 dogs stayed in the main house , converted barn and games room. It was perfect for a relaxing time together and within a mile walking distance of the beach and several nice bars and restaurants
Perfect location for our golf trip to Abersoch. House was amazing & communication with Lesley was superb. Great games room to keep everyone entertained too.
14 of us stayed here for my 30th birthday and it was truly a weekend we will never forget. Easy check in with an amazing host that shown us around the property on arrival and was at hand for anything we needed to know and even left us an arrival gift! The house is absolutely stunning and the pictures online really do not do it justice we were absolutely blown away with just how stunning it was. Plenty of room for everyone and the games room, bikes, beach and water equipment provide lots of entertainment for everyone. We really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at night with music and drinks and enjoying the beautiful scenery in the area and the stunning beach just a short walk away. If you are thinking of booking this property please do you will not be disappointed! We will definitely be returning in the future!! Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful property!
Drawbacks outlined by owner.
On road ( not busy ) but generally one vehicle width for 250 ydsto the town.
Rubbish collectionby council unreliable
Informed owner that shower toilet etc in annexe not satisfactory who thanked us
Lovely house that’s bigger than it looks online. Lesley was a great host and was on hand to answer any of our questions
We had lovely welcome gifts and a tour around the house on arrival! The kitchen is a tight space but there’s plenty of cutlery, storage and cooking facilities. The lounge is a lovely space for everyone to relax in, the Barn is a very nice quiet space and everyone loved the games room!
Overall we had an amazing week in a great house!!
Nice quiet location not too far from town centre and beach (only 10-15 mins walk). First impressions were ok-ish. Bedding was clean but the inside of the main house is very dated, carpets worn, and it needs a refurb and paint job (which we could live with). The games room annex smells musty as does the shower room in the barn. However, as our stay went on we found that the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Your in the country so spiders etc.. are to be expected, but some of what we found was out of order. The rugs on the floor in the main room need a good clean, the dust on the radiators and skirting boards isn't recent. One of the kids got crumbs on the leather sofa and I wiped them off with a wet-wipe - big mistake, it was absolutely filthy. The kids were playing with Lego and some went under the sofa. That hasn't seen daylight for years with fur/hair balls, dirt and dust, old orange peel, and a previous occupants socks. We found someone else's old contact lenses on the bedside cabinet in the games room - we left them there so watch out for them! Its a shame as it could be a lovely house. The owner employs cleaners so not sure if she is aware of these issues, but she should check out what's mentioned and correct these for the next occupants.

Home from home!
Another wonderful stay at Goleufryn! If you are looking for a little slice of heaven then this house and location is the one for you. It never fails to impress us, and the whole family enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with all the necessities you would find at home and more! Lesley and Mark the owners have thought of absolutely everything to ensure your stay is comfortable but most of all fun! We enjoyed the use of the roaring log fire, pool table and the large dining area to entertain. There are plenty of nice bars and eateries close by but we thoroughly enjoy dining and relaxing at the house. If you enjoy walking then Abersoch has plenty of beautiful walks, especially Ceriad with spectacular views and sea air! We can’t wait to book again for our next visit.

Perfect for family Birthday celebration!
I booked this to share my 60th birthday celebrations with family. Fifteen of us stayed here for 5 nights hiring all 3 buildings. There was more than plenty of space for everyone and the games room was well used. Table football, pool and table tennis proved popular with all ages.Unfortunately we never got chance to use the bikes....always too much else to see and do.Weather was mild for time of year but we did light the log burner on our last evening. Lesley and her husband were very friendly and helpful. The house is set in a beautiful area and we explored several places. Kids enjoyed a visit to rabbit farm, crabbing off Abersoch jetty and the amusements at Pwllhei. We had a lovely walk along the beach at Nefyn watching a seal in the sea and enjoyed refreshments in the sun at Ty Coach Inn. Aberdaron is a nice little place with lovely coffee shops. The whole of the Llyn Peninsula is so beautiful. The house is very well equipped and we had several family meals together in the dining area, including a fish and chip supper as well as a visit to Weatherspoons in Pwllhei. Overall a great place to stay. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Goleufryn.

2nd Home
There's no place like home.... but Goleufryn comes a close second. This was our first ever holiday as a family of 20 with ages spanning between 16 and 70. The house was as described and with sleeping spread across 3 buildings ( we had the 2 barns as well as the house ) there was ample space for all. Situated on an extremely quiet lane the property is only a short walk to the beach and village with numerous places to eat and drink.
Lesley has put a lot of thought and consideration into making this like home with large tv, sky, games, books and we all had a few games of pool. The BBQ was put to much use over our weeks stay and the large living space was put to much use in the evenings by all.
We all had a great time and would definitely recommend.

Lovely week in Wales for a family birthday!
We had a lovely week at Goleufryn for my Mother in laws 70th birthday party a few weeks ago with a party of 8 adults and 6 children. We had all three properties for the week which was great and provided lots of space for the four families. The kids spent many happy hours in the games room playing table football and outside in the courtyard having swing ball battles! The properties were all clean and well presented. The main house had a large living area which provided plenty of room for all 14 of us to relax and play games in the evenings. The dining area was a bit of a squeeze for all 14 of us and the kitchen area, though incredibly well stocked, was really only suitable for two people to work in at a time. The outdoor seating area was lovely and secluded with a great BBQ which we were lucky enough to use one night. Avoid the swinging chair though as it's not stable and fell over when my father in law sat in it! Lesley was extremely helpful and accommodating and replied promptly to my many queries ahead of our arrival. She was there to welcome us all on the day, show us round and ensure that we had everything we needed. Thank-you for a wonderful week!

Great family accommodation...loved it.
We were delighted to stay in this property. It was clean and well maintained. The owner met us on arrival, she was extremely friendly and helpful and we were very impressed with the great customer service. This property was ideal for our extended family holiday comfortably accommodating our two families . We would well recommend it. There are some beautiful beaches and walks in the area and the local village offers a variety of cafes restaurants and shops again all highly recommended.

Great property in lovely location but living space only suitable for up to 10 adults
This is a lovely property in a great location for doing Welsh Coastal Path but the living space does not match the number of beds available. It is most suited to families where there is high tea for children and then adult supper as it was a real squeeze to get 14 of us around the table. The kitchen was too small for the number of people but it was very well equipped. The house was really clean and well maintained. We would love to stay again with a smaller size party. Thanks for making us so welcome

Beautiful, relaxing cottage, owner very helpful
We booked this cottage and the additional barn for my family and our four dogs. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous, plenty of space for everybody. Lesley was there to greet us on arrival. She was very friendly and hospitable. She had even arranged for there to be Easter Eggs on arrival for each of the children in our group, together with some prosecco for the grown ups! The house itself is in an ideal location, only 10 minutes walk away from a dog friendly breach. Lovely views from the bedroom windows across the fields. We had the log fire lit for a couple of the nights which was really lovely. I would highly recommend this cottage to anybody wanting to stay in a large group - Abersoch is beautiful, plenty of bars and restaurants if you want to try them, although we quite enjoyed having a few bottles of wine in the cottage during the evenings and big family meals together. We all had a really lovely time and would highly recommend this please do anybody. Lesley was always available if we had any problems (not that we had any!) Gayle Jones

Beautiful property and wonderful hosts
The house is just gorgeous - very clean and well kept. The bedding was fresh and the kitchen and bathrooms were spotless.
It takes approx 5-10 minutes to walk into town and it is a very pretty walk into the town.
Lesley (the owner) was very accommodating and catered to our every need. She recommended wonderful restaurants and trips out. The games room was a very big hit with the kids!
This is a fabulous house that will suit everyone - I would strongly recommend this house if you are considering a stay in Abersoch.

Superbly furnished house and barns.
Booked the house and barns for 17 family members and everybody loved the place. Living room easily accommodated everyone in comfort. Dining area in conservatory was a good size with a large extending table to seat approx. 12. Beds were very comfortable (mine better than home) and a bathroom on each floor meant no morning queues. Barns were also excellent and the kids loved the games room, with pool table, table tennis and table football. Only 20 min walk into Abersoch and beaches. Only small issue was kitchen was a bit small for group cooking but we managed. Other than this could not fault it for the price. Would recommend for great family get-togethers like ours.

Lovely stay for birthday get together
Booked to stay for 4 nights for my 50th with our kids & grandkids, 10 adults & 7 children.
From the time of booking with Lesley she was nothing but helpful & on arrival she welcomed the first of our party to arrive & showed them round & explained everything about the properties & even notified me they had arrived :)
We had booked the 3 properties available & suited our needs well, loads of parking as we had 5 cars as a group, houses are lovely & very homely, equipped with everything you would need for your stay, grandkids & the men loved the games room, the main house is large & was more than big enough to accomadate everyone together, nice with the log fires going as well & the furniture etc is of a high standard which is nice for a holiday let.
The area is nice & close to the beach but as the weather was not great being March we didnt get too much of an opportunity to explore but we did have a nice meal at the St Tudors inn, Abersoch on the saturday then back to the house where Lesley very kindly & to the great joy of our sons, arranged for us to get the boxing event on Sky for that night, nothing too much trouble :)
We had a great time & would love to return in a nicer time of the year weatherwise to get the full benefits of the lovely area & the house with a lovely garden/bbq area.
Would definately recommend to anyone.

Lovely home for large group
We stayed at this lovely house for a week over New Year's Eve! We were a large group of family and friends, we had the house plus the 2 barns! Lesley give us a warm welcome and left us a lovely welcome gift of bottle of fizz, chocolates and a plant, very thoughtful. Lesley was always on hand for any issues, but we didn't have any as the house and barns were fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, enough seating areas for everyone, very comfortable and it was like home from home. The games room was fully equipped with pool table and other games, we made good use of it. The log fire was beautiful and made the house very cozy.
Great location to the beach and abersoch town, only a 10minute walk. Lots of lovely eating places and pubs. Would definitely return, we had a great time. Would highly recommend.😊

About the host
Hosted by Lesley Wheetman
Hi , my name is Lesley. My husband and myself have owned our house (Goleufryn ) in Abersoch for over 20 years. We are always doing things to goleufryn to make it as welcoming and homely as possible.
Why they chose this property
We purchased Goleufryn over 20 years ago after visiting Abersoch. We have always loved the area. The beaches are stunning and so many walks in the area. Every time we leave Abersoch the day we drive back you always feel relaxed and at home. Our son has always love the area. We always meet people we know from Cheshire but have also made so many new friends in Abersoch. Abersoch has a micro climate so the weather is warmer than most places in the uk. A pocket of sunshine. We just love it.
What makes this property unique
At Goleufryn you are not quite in the village but only 10 minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and beaches. Goleufryn is on a nice country lane, nice and quiet. We have a games room for the kids/ adults which is ideal when you want to relax in the garden or house. You have stunning views from all the rooms. We have 2 patio areas , 2 fire pits , 1 bbq , raised decking area with amazing views, off street parking for 7/8 cars.
