About this property
Cozy little bungalow - the perfect base for a beach/surfing holiday for 4 people
Trehanoo annexe is situated in Polzeath on the beautiful North Cornwall coast. It is the perfect welcoming accommodation to enjoy this famous holiday area.
Trehanoo Annexe is a small bungalow with open plan kitchen/sitting room with a comfortable sofa bed and 2 arm chairs and a kitchen table and chairs. A flat screen TV, DVD and stereo.
One double bedroom with a small 4' bed, one twin room with 3' bunk beds and a sofa bed in the sitting room with a new pocket sprung mattress.
The bathroom has an electric shower over a short bath, heated towel rails, WC and sink. It has wall mounted electric heaters throughout.
Trehanoo annexe is set in a quiet secluded garden with a high hedge for privacy. A patio area with sturdy table and chairs, and a gated entrance with the car parking for 2 cars. There is a lawned area off the annexe and another lawned area next to the parking area.
There are rural views from the south facing windows in the kitchen and sitting room areas to the moors beyond.
For the extra holiday factor: £18 per head gets the beds made up with freshly laundered duvet covers and a bath and hand towel supplied. Beach towels £4 each.
Cleaning at departure is included.
Whilst at Trehanoo you could holiday for the week and never get in your car. The annexe is a 7 minute walk to Polzeath beach and the same to the coast path. From the coast path you can either walk the pretty way to the surfing beach of Polzeath, or head towards Greenaway (a 10 minutes walk), Daymer (a 15 minute walk) or Rock (a 45 minute walk).
Polzeath is a fabulous surfing beach and we have a wet suit rack to hang your wetsuits on when you get back from a surf.
Polzeath has a great Spar shop and offers fish and chips, pasties, pizza and ice cream as well as some great surf and clothing shops and a gallery.
Greenaway is a wonderful place for rock pooling when the tide is out and the hours just drift past as you become totally absorbed in shrimping, crabbing and fishing.
Daymer Bay has a large car park that is very reasonable to park in all day and is sandcastle heaven and one of the best windsurfing/kite surfing spots in the country. At low water it has a vast beach.
Rock beach has several pubs/restaurants with wonderful views over the Camel estuary, great shops and also has sailing and a sailing/ powerboat school, water skiing and a waterski school, fishing trips and the ferry to Padstow.
There are also 2 golf courses within 2 miles of Trehanoo, St Enedoc and The Point at Polzeath (ex Roserrow).

About the host
Hosted by Kate Buckingham

I have been going to Polzeath since I was a baby. I absolutely love it, as soon as you get out of the car and take a lung full of sea air all is right with the world.
Why they chose this property
Trehanoo annexe is our family holiday home and as such we keep it set up for ease of use for 4 people on holiday. We spend a month in the winter there ourselves, decorating, updating and adding to the comfort and ease of having a holiday in the annexe. I ask for feedback from tenants and, where possible, include them in next year’s update. Any problems are dealt with as soon as possible by either myself or Jackie the housekeeper.
What makes this property unique
Rinsing off you wetsuit when you get back from the beach with the hose and hanging it on the purpose built stainless steel wet suit rack is great.
