About this property

Cozy little bungalow - the perfect base for a beach/surfing holiday for 4 people

Trehanoo annexe is situated in Polzeath on the beautiful North Cornwall coast. It is the perfect welcoming accommodation to enjoy this famous holiday area.

Trehanoo Annexe is a small bungalow with open plan kitchen/sitting room with a comfortable sofa bed and 2 arm chairs and a kitchen table and chairs. A flat screen TV, DVD and stereo.

One double bedroom with a small 4' bed, one twin room with 3' bunk beds and a sofa bed in the sitting room with a pocket sprung mattress.

The bathroom has an electric shower over a short bath, heated towel rails, WC and sink. It has wall mounted electric heaters throughout.

Trehanoo annexe is set in a quiet secluded garden with a high hedge for privacy. A patio area with sturdy table and chairs, and a gated entrance with the car parking for 2 cars. There is a lawned area off the annexe and another lawned area next to the parking area.

There are rural views from the south facing windows in the kitchen and sitting room areas to the moors beyond.

For the extra holiday factor: £20 per head gets the beds made up with freshly laundered duvet covers and a bath and hand towel supplied. Beach towels £4 each.

Cleaning at departure is included.

Whilst at Trehanoo you could holiday for the week and never get in your car. The annexe is a 7 minute walk to Polzeath beach and the same to the coast path. From the coast path you can either walk the pretty way to the surfing beach of Polzeath, or head towards Greenaway (a 10 minutes walk), Daymer (a 15 minute walk) or Rock (a 45 minute walk).

Polzeath is a fabulous surfing beach and we have a wet suit rack to hang your wetsuits on when you get back from a surf.

Polzeath has a great Spar shop and offers fish and chips, pasties, pizza and ice cream as well as some great surf and clothing shops and a gallery.

Greenaway is a wonderful place for rock pooling when the tide is out and the hours just drift past as you become totally absorbed in shrimping, crabbing and fishing.

Daymer Bay has a large car park that is very reasonable to park in all day and is sandcastle heaven and one of the best windsurfing/kite surfing spots in the country. At low water it has a vast beach.

Rock beach has several pubs/restaurants with wonderful views over the Camel estuary, great shops and also has sailing and a sailing/ powerboat school, water skiing and a waterski school, fishing trips and the ferry to Padstow.

There are also 2 golf courses within 2 miles of Trehanoo, St Enedoc and The Point at Polzeath (ex Roserrow).

Nice quiet hideaway

Nice little bungalow in a quiet area of Polzeath. Furniture was comfortable. Well fenced in garden for the dog to enjoy. Issue with toilet that was speedily fixed. Very steep gravel access road, not for the faint hearted. Overall a good property at a fair price, I would stay again.

Great location, pet-friendly, very responsive host. Lovely flowers and a bottle of wine greeted our arrival. There is a problem with damp in the property. A wall-mounted de-humidifier is in one bedroom, which you are encouraged to use. The property is not suitable for those with a lung condition. The bedding felt cold and damp through the night, not pleasant. Our salt, pepper and spice containers were all affected by the damp. We stayed during a wet September, and were unable to dry our coats/wet clothing.

Hi Kate, I am so sorry to hear you had problems with damp. It’s not something we’ve had a problem with since we installed the dehumidifier 9 years ago. I do wish you had said something during your stay so we could have sorted it. We are sorting it now. Many thanks Kate

Lovely week at Trehanoo

We had a great stay. Very clean property and very lovely and comfortable duvets and pillows. Bit of a squeeze for 5 of us but we knew that before we went. More suitable for 3-4 guests. We found the driveway to the property in poor condition but other than that we would recommend.

Lovely cosy spot, very good location, recommended.

Great owner communication, she advised us of any issues which she thought we should know eg main bed being on the smaller size. Good location with parking and enclosed garden safe for dogs. Comfortable furniture, warm with good radiators, good quality bedding.
