About this property
Luxury Barn Conversion -Ideal Location for both Coasts and Eden Project
Tremodrett Barn is a contemporary, two-bedroom barn conversion, graded 5 star by Visit England standards. Decorated in boutique-hotel style including an oak four poster bed it provides a comfortable and stylish base for your holiday. Situated between Padstow and Fowey the estate is surrounded by fields and open countryside. Tremodrett is a tranquil, leafy hamlet yet close to the A30 main road in Cornwall, making it an ideal base for travelling around Cornwall and exploring the north and south coasts. Fibre broadband.
The first floor open-plan living accommodation is flooded with light and has a dramatic vaulted roof space and beams. A Juliet balcony overlooks the courtyard - perfect for a litte star-gazing! Laura Ashley sofas are complimented by a stylish oak dining table . The kitchen is equipped to a high standard with professional pans, a food processor and blender and Sophie Conran china. There is a washer-dryer. In the cooler months you can keep cosy by the fire (electric with real flame-effect).
Downstairs are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. A further room is furnished as a TV den/quiet room - perfect for the children to chill out and give the grown-ups a little respite! A contemporary full bathroom is adjacent to the four-poster bedroom. This main bedroom opens onto the courtyard, so you can pop out easily for a quiet morning coffee, and has a modern king-size oak four poster bed. We like to spoil our guests! There is room for our travel cot in this bedroom or in the TV den.
The large second bedroom (twin) is a dramatic room with sloping roof reaching into the eaves of the barn. There is a contemporary en-suite shower room in the twin bedroom so guests in each room have their own bathroom. Both bedrooms are equipped with crisp white bed linen and goose-down duvets for the cooler months.
Outside there are two garden areas - a private garden to the front receives sun throughout the day - and is decorated with palms and exotic plants which thrive in Cornwall's sunny clime. There is a long raised bed planted with flowers and shrubs . Dining table and seating for four with kettle BBQ.
To the rear of the barn is a courtyard (shared with two adjacent barns) decorated with mature hydrangeas and camellias. Bistro table and two chairs - perfect for your morning coffee - just outside the four-poster bedroom.
The whole estate has been finished to a high standard. In the fields we caught sight of roe deer in our first week and there is a resident woodpecker. There are five other barns on the estate.
(N.B. There is a wide flight of steps down from the car park -designated parking for up to four cars. Access to our barn is via a path round our neighbour's barn with four steps. There is more direct access via the courtyard following key collection. Please note the paved area can be slippery in wet weather.)
The barn is our own holiday home and equipped and furnished to a high standard, not purely as a holiday let, and we hope our guests will appreciate all our little extra touches and have a really comfortable and relaxing stay.
Part of the access road to Tremodrett is a wide, single lane. There are plenty of passing points and little traffic but you may have to slow down to Cornish pace on a bend or two!

We love getting away for breaks and have been going to Cornwall for some years and love the slower pace of life, the gardens and the stunning scenery.

Why they chose this property
As soon as we saw the barn and the estate we knew this would suit us and our guests really well. The location is so peaceful yet with the main road for Cornwall so close it is easy to get around the county. We love the granite and slate used throughout the estate and the barn is delightfully quirky with a beautifully light living space.
