This is a gorgeous holiday cottage. We were visiting our daughter at university, so the proximity was excellent. The cottage is wonderfully warm. The property is quiet. Shower is great. No milk, tea or coffee is provided for your arrival, so make sure you have supplies.

Having stayed here before we were looking forward to coming back for a long weekend - for a birthday
Having stayed here before we were looking forward to coming back for a long weekend - for a birthday treat. Disappointed that when we got into the cottage there were nothing to wash up/clean with. There was no washing up liquid, sponge/cloth, surface cleaner or tea towel. We had to go out and buy everything from local co-op. A small washing/kitchen pack is not too much to ask (always had one in other accommodations). Apart from this it is a good accommodation with parking and short walk to centre of Ambleside.

Lovely old cottage in the old part of Ambleside.
Lovely old cottage in the old part of Ambleside.. just off the main road but quiet, and with its own garage nearby. It has a small courtyard with table and chairs. It was a bit less well equipped than most places we have rented but there are shops nearby selling everything, and of course plenty of restaurants and pubs. Great walks and hikes from the door.

A lovely wee cottage in an excellent spot, a few minutes walk to all that Ambleside has to offer.
A lovely wee cottage in an excellent spot, a few minutes walk to all that Ambleside has to offer. The table out the front door gets loads of sunshine throughout the day and it's a very quite spot despite being so close to everything. Having access to the garage is also great. The cottage is generally well equipped but the kitchen has some strange things missing like a grill tray. Also, having only one big bag, one roll of toilet roll and no soap seems a bit limited.
