Downstairs provides a stunning open plan living area, with underheated natural slate floor. There is a fully equipped kitchen, WC, a beautiful lounge with 42" smart TV and remote controlled velux windows & blinds. The lounge leads on to a good sized conservatory, which doubles as a dining and seating area - this can be separated from the lounge by bi-folding doors.
A door in the conservatory leads on to a gated and secure courtyard - perfect for a BBQ or relaxing in the sun.

A clean and comfortable house including the sofas, and bed. Nicely equipped, situated easy reach of nice dog walks and cliff top views in quiet location though .Luke the owner was extremely helpful Only thing I would ask is for a mirror near to a plug for hair drying please Definitely will be returning

Wonderful accommodation

We had a perfect stay. Accommodation was perfect. Only thing I would advise in the advertisement for the property is to mention steps down to Accommodation. It was ok for us but anyone elderley may struggle. Cannot fault the property. It had everything you would need. It did feel a little overlooked in the conservatory and garden but it didnt cause a problem.

Lovely stay in Petitor Cottage / Rooms at Babbacombe

Petitor Cottage is nestled behind Rooms at Babbacombe. Excellent location, very tastefully decorated, extremely clean and well presented space. Very comfortable bed and overall facilities. Stayed there with our dog who enjoyed the secure courtyard. Hosts Luke and Becca were very welcoming and super helpful.

Firstly this is not a cottage, it is a small annexe to a bed and breakfast with hotel room windows looking over the conservatory of the annexe. The owners do not appreciate it if you don’t book your pet stay ahead of your visit and asked our dog not to go on to the furniture or bark when on their property. This is more difficult than it sounds as many dogs stay or are resident in the main block of the bed and breakfast and they do bark, but your dog is expected not to respond. We were asked to leave if our dog was “going to be a problem”. We didn’t know what to do and had to stay, but it was a very uncomfortable stay due to these rules. The cooker and kitchen are great, but the rest of the property is odd and cramped and uncomfortable. You cannot book for more than 2 people although it is advertised as a family property it is not, there are not sofa beds downstairs that are useable as the lounge and conservatory are overlooked by B&B bedroom windows and there are no blinds or privacy. I would not recommend.

They run a very successful and busy B&B in the main Rooms At Babbacombe building as well as bringing up their 6 boys!
They love what they do and cannot wait to welcome you to stay.

Why they chose this property

Petitor Cottage is situated in the most incredible location, you'd never need use your car whilst here (we have private off-road parking). You have everything on your doorstep, stunning beaches, coastal walks, cliff-top promenade, fabulous eateries, coffee shops, pubs, shops, theatre, tourist attractions and so much more!
The cottage itself is luxuriously finished, benefiting from under-floor heating throughout. It is a little bolt-hole set back away from the road, a peaceful haven and the perfect place to relax after a busy day maybe on the beach, exploring the coastal path, seal spotting or enjoying the local water-sports activities. Whatever you do, it is the perfect retreat in the perfect location!
