About this property

Chesil Cove House

We fell in love with Chesil Beach and particularly the cove on the Isle of Portland - so we bought a holiday home! Its an 18th century Portland stone house over 3 floors with front and rear gardens. The World Heritage Jurassic coastline is 2 minutes away! Swimming, snorkelling, diving, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, climbing, so much more! Crystal clear waters. Weymouth is a short hop on the bus with so much to offer for every age.
We have lovingly restored and refurbished the house and look forward to welcoming you for a stay!

Very quaint accommodations in an ideal location.

We had 4 adults and 3 children for a long weekend. The house is beautiful and quaint. It is 3 floors with 2 bedrooms per floor. There is one bathroom. The layout of the kitchen is a bit odd as the sink is located in an adjacent room. The refrigerator is also located in this room behind the door. You must enter the adjoining room and close the door before you can access the refrigerator. The host was quick to respond to any inquiries via the VRBO app or WhatsApp. Overall we had an enjoyable stay.

Lovely seaside home

The property was absolutely ideal for my family and dogs when visiting Portland for a friends wedding. Helen was a very good host who responded quickly to communciation. The property was very clean and the decor has that lovely seaside charm. It catered to all our needs and a travel cot was provided for young children. The secure garden was brilliant for our dogs and young children, had the weather been better we would have used it a bit more. The location of the property is within very close proximity of a pub with nice food and the local Co-op is not far away. If you're lucky enough to get a space you can park free outside the house but if not there is plenty of free parking elsewhere. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Thank you.

Why they chose this property

Chesil Beach - despite the rocky beach! - is so clean and quiet and beautiful! The water is always super clean. There are we excellent places to eat and so many Watersports. The Olympic Sailing Academy is very close as is Portland Harbour.

What makes this property unique

17th century Portland Stone house, very close to Chesil Beach with a garden. A loved home I think you will love to stay in!
