Lovely stay

We stayed here over Christmas and really enjoyed our time here. There was a Christmas tree set up in the lounge which was great for us. The house is spacious and well stocked. The bedrooms are nice and the beds are comfortable in every room. The views from the property are beautiful and the children loved watching the sheep from the garden. Communication with the owner was great. They was able to accommodate a late check out for us which was very much appreciated. We would definitely recommend!

Great for family

This house was huge and brilliant for our family getaway but the flies and ants in conservatory were a concern.Just bits and bobs needing looked at e.g spindle on staircase broken which was a worry for the little ones,showers blocked and overflowing and toilet in left gand en suite not working,but overall a great house, kids loved the outdoor space and bedroom's all great sizes.

Fabulous family gathering

Our group of 11 had a great time in Dumfries and environment. The house was perfect for our extended family to gather and enjoy four days/five nights together. There was generous space for all of us to have meals as a group and spend time lounging together in the living room in the evening, but also for people to have some quiet time. The location of the property, adjacent to fields, and the pastoral views made it a very relaxing experience. We went on many walks in the immediate environment, including to a nearby restaurant, and used the cars to get to Dumfries center and other attractions nearby. Highly recommend!

Great family break

The chesters was the perfect accommodation and location for three generations to spend long overdue family time together. Would definitely return.
