About the host
Hosted by Denise Matthews
David and I have farmed at Riding House for almost 40 years. We are the modern day Shepherd and Milkmaid! If needed, they will be on hand to help you make the most of your stay in the Peak District National Park.
Why they chose this property
Riding House Farm is a working farm of 140 acres. If you bring your wellies you will be able to see the new born lambs in Spring, visit the calf house and even feed the hens! There is an abundance of wildlife around especially in our own secluded bluebell wood.
From your doorstep you can take the footpath directly to Lose Hill Ridge and enjoy another spectacular view over the Edale Valley to the famous Kinder Scout.

What makes this property unique
This picturesque village is now designated a conservation area and much of its history can be read in its layout and architecture. Castleton is a popular tourist village in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District National Park. The village is renowned for epitomising the quintessentially classic English hamlet, for its wealth of local history, and for being a major Peak District walking centre.
