Located on the ground floor floor of a lovely traditional townhouse on a quiet street in the historic centre of Tavira this spacious studio apartment of approx. 45m2 accommodates 2 guests in a double bed.

The space is divided by a graceful arch, with sitting area at the front, dining area under the arch, and at the back, a secluded sleeping alcove and a full kitchen. Nicely decorated. Ample storage space for clothes. Desk and chair by window make a pleasant work space.

The sunny patio of approx. 15m2 is attractively tiled, full of plants, furnished with a table and 4 chairs, and a deck chair. It's a perfect place to read, sunbathe, have coffee, a glass of wine, or a meal. If you rent a bike during your stay, you can wheel it through the studio and keep it safely on the patio.

Off the patio, one step outside from the kitchen door, is the bathroom with shower, loo and lavabo. It has a window.

Absolutely ideal location. Shops and cafés in the next street. Within easy walking distance ( between 5 and 10 minutes) of the central square, the Roman bridge, the beach ferry dock, the river and central garden, bars and restaurants, the castle, the bus and train stations, supermarkets - all of Tavira, in fact.

So you have no need for a car. (Or an abstemious designated driver in the evening.) Other towns can be easily visited by train - we are 5 minutes' walk from the train station - or bus - 10 minutes' walk - and it's just a 10 minutes' walk from the ferry that takes you to the beach. The nearest supermarket is also 5 minutes' walk away.

Public transportation from Faro airport to Tavira (shuttle bus plus train) costs just €5.55 per person. And it's a lovely train ride.

This studio is a pretty, handy and relaxing place for one or two people to holiday, or to use as a home base while house-hunting in the area.
