A cosy traditional fisherman's cottage in the heart of Porthleven. Within walking distance to an abundance of independent shops, award winning cafes/restaurants plus characterful pubs & the beach. Porthleven has retained is character of an unspoilt fishing village with its granite harbour and pier & famous clock tower. A perfect eating, walking, beach holiday.
Coral Cottage is arranged on three floors. The kitchen, utility room, shower room and rear entrance on the ground floor, living room on the first floor and two bedrooms on the second floor.
The main bedroom has a double bed with built in wardrobe and chest of drawers while the second bedroom offers a single bed with hanging rail and storage.
The living room offers comfortable sofas, smart tv and a multi-fuel log burning stove for those cosy Autumn/Winter evenings. From here, you go down some stairs to the kitchen, utility and shower room all with traditional beams and full of character.
The utility area houses the washing machine, ironing board etc. Here is a perfect safe space for your bikes/surfboards etc.
Outside space - Behind Coral Cottage you benefit from morning sunshine, we have a little shared courtyard area to sit and enjoy.
We recommend children from the age of 5 upwards for our cottage, mainly due to the open staircases. The quirks of Coral Cottage is what makes it so special.
One small dog allowed (under 10kg). We ask that you bring your own blanket and towel for your pet please.

Lovely little hideaway!
Clean, stylish furniture and furnishings, excellent location, comfortable beds, lovely welcome scones and little bathroom extras.
Due to the location, the place could smell a little musty if it had been cold/rainy- this soon goes though when you warm the place up :) thank you!

We enjoyed our stay.
Lovely, cosy cottage. Very clean and tidy. Very nice decor and very well equipped. Close to the harbour, restaurants and shops.
The staircases was steep with low ceilings. Bathroom and kitchen was at the basement and there was no other water & toilet facilities on the other floors.

Cozy Cornish cottage
Lovely cottage, great location, beautifully decorated. Host very welcoming. Well equipped kitchen.
In the description it would have been good to know that stairs are v steep and bathroom is off the kitchen. Would have been v tight squeeze for 3. But it was fine for us for a few nights.

Honestly could not fault the stay at the cottage
The property was in a fantastic location just a few minutes walk from the harbour. All rooms were of a decent size, quite spacious considering it’s an old cottage. Arrived to some fresh scones, jam, cream and milk which was a very nice touch. The cottage was spotless throughout. Would happily stay here again.
This isn’t so much a dislike as it’s just the way the property is, but if I had a pound for every time I banged my head navigating down to the kitchen…. But that’s only because I’m quite tall and not used to cottages. You learn to duck very quickly lol

A wonderful place - perfectly situated for the Lizard and western Cornwall.
The cottage is perfectly situated in a quiet street with on road parking and just a few minutes walk from the harbour. It is a "quaint" layout - you enter into the well sized lounge with TV, sofa and comfortable chair, a wood burer and electric radiator. Quite steep stairs lead up to one large bedroom with an electric radiator and one single bedroom. Even steeper stairs lead down to the superbly fitted kitchen with an electric radiator and dining table and the shower room / toilet. Everything is seriously high quality with nice decorations. There is a separate utility room accessed from the kitchen with everything you need. The Wi-Fi is excellent and reaches everywhere. It is a home from home and we felt extremely comfortable and relaxed there. It was winter, so the electric radiators were appreciated. We did not need to use the wood burner. A nice extra was the provision of scones and clotted cream and milk, tea, coffee and other essentials. The owners communication was very good and we give our highest recommendation for this property.
This is NOT a criticism - but just remember that you could have difficulty with the stairs if your mobility is restricted.

Quirky cottage, very comfortable and extremely well presented, location great for all restaurants et
We had a lovely short break at this beautifully finished property. Lots of personal touches around, including home made scones with cream and jam, tea and milk plus extras. We received a text from the owner when the cottage was ready earlier than planned. Perfectly located for sightseeing and an easy walk into Porthleven. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to return next year.

A happy customer
My husband who is 6’3” and not very nimble, did find the stairs challenging. But we were warned!
