Church Hill House is situated at the foot of Church Hill, less than a minutes walk down to Port Isaac's vibrant harbourside with shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants, on the picturesque North Cornwall coast. Recently refurbished to a high standard, this wonderful Georgian home offers stylish family accommodation set over three floors, sleeping 8 in four bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. The elevated garden area is accessed via steep slate steps and offers outstanding coastal views down through the village, harbour and out to sea, a lovely spot for a morning coffee or a Cornish Cream tea.
From the moment you enter Church Hill House, its cool, calm interiors welcome you into this elegant self catering holiday home. The ground floor has two entrances either from the covered parking space and up a set of steps or through the front door from Church Hill. There is a well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and 4 stools, a fridge/freezer, wine cooling fridge and all the other features you'd expect. The living area has plenty of comfortable seating to relax with family and friends after a long day in the harbour, with a newly installed wood burner, perfect for those cooler days and evenings, making Church Hill House a perfect haven no matter what time of year. With the dining room table located at the other end of the living room, the layout creates togetherness for any occasion. On the first floor; choose between a queen bedroom, a double bedroom with a shower en-suite and a twin bedroom, all beautifully decorated and filled with light with comfortable beds you can sink into. There are also two additional shower rooms (one with a bath). On the top floor, under the eaves with exposed beams, is a second twin bedroom. Enjoy jaw-dropping harbour and coastal views from the top terrace with a choice of garden seating to dine alfresco or simply watch those Cornish sunsets with a local tipple.
From your doorstep, spend a day enjoying the hustle and bustle on the beach and harbour and lose yourself in the quaint narrow streets of the centuries old fisherman's cottages with their gorgeous blue slate roofs and whitewashed walls. If you're feeling energetic, a few miles west lies Port Quin a short drive or a spectacular walk over Lobber point past the rocky cove of Pine Haven, then Varley Head, along Reedy Cliff then Kellan Head and finally dropping down into this pretty National Trust owned cove. A lovely spot for swimming, kayaking, rock pooling or fishing. With cycling, golf, tennis as well as a wide variety of water sports on offer as well as stunning sandy beaches and historic villages to explore - there is bound to be something on the North Cornwall coast to suit all members of your party.

About the host
Your host
We are a family of 5, based in North Somerset. We fell in love with the Cornish Coastline, but in particular with Port Isaac, shortly after lockdown in 2020. We decided to make this picturesque fishing village a more permanent fixture in our lives by purchasing Church Hill House to ensure that we too were able to start to feel at home here. As a family we enjoy walking, surfing and pottering around. The pubs are also regularly visited by us, as well as the ice cream and sweet shop at the bottom of Church Hill!
What makes this property unique
Port Isaac is a very special place and Church Hill House used to be where the locals would congregate for a drink after church on a Sunday. We love the fact that our house hosted such gatherings on a regular basis and we like the idea of being able to provide our guests with an opportunity to gather at the house and create memories of their own.
