Mousehole, Marazion and St Michael's Mount are nearby and other Cornish beauty spots are within easy reach.
The space
The house has been sympathetically and lovingly restored keeping the style and elegance of a Georgian townhouse with a clean modern look and facilities. The ground floor has a cosy sitting room with 2 sofas, Smart TV, dining area and well equipped modern kitchen. Outside at the back is a private yard and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer for guests to use.
Upstairs is a comfortable bedroom with King size Hypnos bed, feature fireplace and second Smart TV. Also on this floor is the fully tiled bathroom which has a modern but classic look. There is a corner shower, toilet and sink - we do not have a bath. The large attic bedroom has a Super King Hypnos bed which can also be converted to 2 single beds depending on your preference. It is a light and airy room with sight of the sea. There is plenty of space for clothes and there is a Smart TV too.
Sanderling provides a welcoming home from home for a short or long break here in west Cornwall. It is an ideal base for exploring the delights of Cornwall and relaxing after the days adventures.

Artwork - by Caroline Hone is displayed throughout the house. Caroline lived and worked near Penzance for many years before relocating to Scotland. She still has strong connections with this area and we are very lucky to be able to show her work at Sanderling. The paintings are to be enjoyed but many of them are for sale. There is a price list in the house and sales can be organised through Gael.
Guest access
Guests can use all of the space at Sanderling

This property is perfectly located close to the coastline and for exploration of the South West Coast. All transport facilities at are at your doorstep including dining options. The property exceeded our expectations as it is beautifully maintained, cleanliness being top of our list. It has unique characteristics and feels inviting, homely and caters for everything one needs for comfort. This was all a reflection of the host who was extremely helpful with information, tips, guidance and patience. She was simply fabulous and I highly recommend this property. If you care for your home, then this property and host mirrors exactly that. It was my first time in Cornwall and it will always be treasured due to the welcome from the host, beautiful accommodation and location. A huge thank you to the host for taking care of us and hope to return and stay again xx

I love Cornwall especially the far West and have lived and worked here for 35 years. I have set up the 2 holiday homes so that you can come down and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere and activities here in the very south west. Beaches, moorland, sailing, surfing, boat trips, art galleries, the coastal path, walking, relaxing, eating, drinking and having a very nice time ..... it's all here for you, with either the townhouse in Penzance or the cottage in Trungle as an ideal base for a wonderful holiday.

Why they chose this property

Sanderling is a 200 year old townhouse just a few steps from the seafront. The house has been carefully restored retaining it's historic features whilst bringing it up to date with modern facilities. Sanderling is cosy and comfortable and we hope we have provided you with all you need to have a lovely holiday in the West of Cornwall. There are many beautiful places to visit nearby and the house is located within easy walking distance of the historic town centre of Penzance where you will find great eateries, 2 wonderful sub-tropical parks, fabulous architecture and a range of interesting shops.

What makes this property unique

Sanderling is a stones throw from the recently renovated promenade. It is a wonderful place to walk either to Newlyn one way or along to the Jubilee Pool Lido with it's new geothermal pool and wonderful cafe serving breakfast and lunch or drinks. There is also a friendly pub with a great beer garden opposite the house. Locally there are a few highly recommended restaurants within walking distance. The house has a front garden perfect to sit in and enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the world go by.
