Stable Lodge has spacious accommodation and the advantage of private parking adjacent to the entrance; a thoughtful welcome pack was provided. Instruction manuals and local information were made available.It is a ten minute walk to Melrose, the abbey and public gardens; there are lovely riverside walks nearby.

We received a helpful informative e mail from the owner pre arrival. The property was easy to find and is situated in a small quiet area, just a short pleasant walk to Melrose High Street. The house is beautiful and roomy and the kitchen / dining area has every gadget / equipment required for a self catering stay. Alternatively there is a good choice of eateries in the High Street. The sitting room is cosy, with gorgeous throws, cushions and wall art. Upstairs is deceptively roomy with two good sized double bedrooms. The bed in the first room is soooo comfortable, well decorated and I was pleased to find a hairdryer as left mine at home. The second bedroom is also attractively decorated - the firmer mattress on the bed is less comfortable then in the other room. Downstairs, the bathroom contains a lovely hot, powerful shower with second toilet upstairs. We absolutely loved our stay in Stable Lodge and would certainly be happy to return.
