Less than 1 mile from Tweedbank station & The Borders Railway Stables cottage offers excellent connections by train to Edinburgh and is ideally placed in the town of Melrose with is wide range of attractions, restaurants, cafes, pubs and high quality shops.

Stables is a stone built detached cottage on a single level with private parking, patio, garden furniture, BBQ and sitting in stunning landscaped gardens. Stables has an open plan kitchen and dining area adjoining the lounge with seating for 4. It has a wide range of modern kitchen appliances including with fridge, hob, oven washing machine and dryer. The lounge features high quality leather sofas, solid oak flooring and a large modern digital TV and Blueray player. Free high speed WiFi is available throughout the cottage.

The lounge also has a good quality large sofa bed which is a available for the third person or any visitors. There is a small wash-room and wc just off the lounge. The master bed-room has a king sized bed and an en-suite bathroom with WC and shower. The cottage is fully centrally heated and double glazed. It enjoys a Visit Scotland 4 Star grading & is decorated, equipped & furnished to a very high standard. The cottage is south facing & is a real sun-trap. It has private parking beside the cottage for up to 3 cars.

Why they chose this property

Stables cottage is a stunning property sitting in two acres of idyllic landscaped gardens. It is a traditional stone built cottage dating from 1860 which has been modernised an equipped to a very high standard.

The cottage is only a short distance from the centre of the lovely town of Melrose with its wide range of high quality, shops, restaurants and bistros.

The cottage offers the best of both worlds enjoying a very private south-facing location looking over our gardens to the Eildon Hills but is within very easy reach of a wide range of local tourist attractions and services.

Tweedbank station and The Borders railway is less that 1 mile away and provides direct and frequent train access to central Edinburgh with all its attractions.

What makes this property unique

A setting that is second to none. Close to Melrose which can easily be reached on foot but totally private and secluded. Beautifully equipped and furnished to provide guests with a luxurious self-catering experience.
