About this property
Ken Hill Cottage, Snetterton, Norfolk
A characterful cottage, built using traditional carrstone that this area is famed for, Ken Hill Cottage is a superb option for couples or small groups that are looking to explore this wild part of the West Norfolk coastline. Boasting a private location that is both peaceful and well-equipped, Ken Hill Cottage is the perfect hideaway after a busy day discovering all the coastline has to offer.
Split over two floors, comprised of contemporary living areas on the ground floor, with bedrooms on the first floor, this stylish bijou cottage comes with everything required for a relaxing stay. The comfortable sitting room with wood burning stove invited you in. Ignite the stove on those chillier evenings and nestle in with a film on the Netflix enabled Smart television. From this room, glazed sliding doors draw the outside in. This area also hosts a sociable dining space, with seating for four guests around a farmhouse table. The galley kitchen is well-equipped and hosts a range-style gas cooker, Belfast sink, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Two tranquil bedrooms are located on the first floor, with the master offering a king-size bed, and the second bedroom hosting twin beds. All beds dressed with fine white linens. The modern bathroom that serves them is situated on the ground floor and features a large bath with electric shower over.
Outside, the cottage offers off-road parking to the front of the property. To the rear, mature hedges that circumvent an enclosed private space that is ideal for both children and dogs. Fire up the accompanying charcoal barbecue and sample the local produce you have purchased, gathered together in the seating provided, long into those heady summer evenings.
Snettisham and Ken Hill has played host to BBC Springwatch and Autumnwatch, and a large part of the area is now being rewilded as a part of the Wild Ken Hill Project. This a project of national significance, leading the way for others to follow. Snettisham also provides several excellent places to dine and is only a short drive from the Sandringham Estate.
Additional Information:
Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge).
Travel cot, high-chair and stair gate provided (please bring your own cot bedding).
Pillows and duvets are synthetic fibre.
