The house has a lovely period feel and flow. A large lounge/diner with a log burner leads to a well equipped kitchen leading to a secure garden for the safety of your children or dogs.
The bedrooms are arranged as two doubles and one twin room. Bed linen and towels are good quality and the whole place is maintained and cleaned to a high standard.

Located in Norwich, this holiday home is in a rural area. Happisburgh Lighthouse and How Hill Trust are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Norfolk Broads and Hickling Broad. The Museum of the Broads and East Ruston Old Vicarage are also worth visiting.
Lovely property with secure garden for the dogs and grandson.Beds extremely comfortable and en-suite shower a dream.Lovely welcome basket with the essentials for making a cuppa. We would highly recommend this property.
Beautiful house. Spotless. Loved the milk, butter, tea, coffee and shortbread biscuits that were left for us to enjoy. Excellent communication throughout. Can’t wait to go back again!
I have just had a lovely comfortable stay at Japonica House. Gary the owner was very helpful, the house was beautifully clean, the log burner made it very cosy. Great location for trips out to the coast, or a nice meal at the local pub. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
We had a wonderful short break with friends at this lovely house. It was beautifully clean, had a fantastic layout with lots of space and very well decorated. It was fully equipped with everything we needed to make our stay hassle free.
We will be back!!
On arrival welcoming light on. The host had thought also to leave all basics too.
The situation in North Norfolk is ideal for visiting coast and Broads.
The village of Stalham was a nice surprise with friendly locals and a variety of small shops at reasonable prices.
The house is warm and inviting with plenty of space.
The garden is a little sun trap on the days when the sun shone.
The location very good - to name but a few: Sea Palling with a fabulous beach, Norwich - just the right size for a city, Wells next the sea- a little further and Great Yarmouth, which sadly we did not find so great.
Would certainly consider a return trip.
We had a good stay had everything we needed. There was a nice welcome pack. The only problem was the stairs are very steep. Having a slight mobility problem it just would of been helpful to have that in the description.

Thank you for your high rating. Tbh, I thought that the stairs were pretty normal for the period of the house. I have, however, now included a pic so people can judge for themselves.
Japonica House is a pretty, characterful house in a quiet street. It has recently been decorated in tasteful coastal style. We loved the original artworks and accessories. Everything is well presented and very comfortable and clean. It was nice to have an allocated parking space at the rear of the property. We did not try out public transport, but there is a bus stop nearby. Although we did not spend much time in Stalham, it has everything a visitor needs and there is a good atmostphere around the place. Most of the time we were out and about, so we did not use the cooking facilities, but they were modern and included all the essentials. Gary could not have been more friendly and helpful.
