About this property

Walk ONTO the beach not TO the beach @ Number One

Built in 1881, One Coastguard Cottages is a comfortable 3 bedroom former Coastguard cottage right on Caister's sandy beach. Walk through the garden gate onto an unspoiled and peaceful sand dune swept beach with the bonus of having the village shops/pubs only a short stroll away. Sleeping up to four adults and 2 children (up to 12 yrs), it has an enclosed south facing tropical garden and private electric gated parking for 2 cars with the sole use of a 7 kw EV charger. Designed with your convenience and comfort in mind and taking my 13 years of hosting experience the cottage is perfect for multi generational get togethers or quiet stays with just you and the dogs.100+mb fibre broadband is included. Relax into Egyptian cotton percale sheets or in the hammock in the tropical garden. The refurbished bathroom has rain fall shower and a great place to unwind along with leather reclining sofas and a working fireplace. Eco logs are available

Caister-on-Sea has everything you need for a car free stay and a friendly place to visit, a walking distance pub for every day of the week and award winning fish and chips at Ryan's. The local butchers and bakery are multi generational and definitely worth a visit during your stay.

Everything about the holiday was fantastic from booking to leaving - the house is lovely and to wake up and see and hear the sea is amazing. Lots of great dog walks nearby and James is super knowledgeable about best places to go

About the host

Host profile image
I enjoyed living in the cottage for a few years as my family home and always thought it would be a great place to have a break so when the opportunity came to buy a neighboring house i did and fell into the holiday cottage business. Having previously been employed in many service industries I love to see guests enjoying themselves here.

Why they chose this property

Location, Location, Location
What a great village Caister is and the cottage is located in the best bit.

What makes this property unique

I take pride in my cottages and want every guest to have a great stay. I still live in the terrace as I couldn't imagine living anywhere else!
The cottage is at the end of an unmade private road so zero passing traffic. Electric gates to stop the dogs or kids wondering off
7KW EV chargers for every cottage with cheap off peak charging.
The cottages are actually on the beach. Ive never stayed anywhere else as close.
Ive recently invested in solar panels to lower the carbon footprint of the cottage. Electricity is on a renewable tariff.
Great Yarmouth and Norwich are easily reached as well as the Norfolk Broads and children's attractions. It's all here or nearby.
