The stunning beaches around Torquay and the many hidden coves, such as Meadfoot and Oddicombe, and the pretty Ness Cove further afield, will undoubtedly be the highlight of your stay. Other notable attractions include the National Trust houses of Bradley Manor, Coleton Fishacre, and Compton Castle, among many others. Beacon Cove, where Agatha Christie used to swim as a girl, is on the South West Coast Path, which offers beautiful views across the bay. All year long, Newton Abbot is a great place to stay as a jumping off point for a trip to the English seaside.
