Casa Amarela, cute and friendly hideaway in a quiet well located area of Horta City. the house is the perfect place for couples or two friends who want to discover the city and be part of the local scene cultural events, festivals, theatre art gallery all within a stroll away.
You will be surrounded by cafes, restaurants, beach, parks and the Port of Horta
where the ferry boats takes you to the other Azores Islands. Just a 2 minutes walk is Cafe Doce Delicious, California Pizza, soccer field and beach Alagoa.
The interior living spaces are all on the ground level with the kitchen living couples bed arranged in an open concept. Large and expansive sliding glass doors opens from the living areas to a delightful courtyard bringing the outdoor nature and feel into the interior.
More outdoor space you can enjoy the mornings or evenings on your very own private roof top patio that measures 300 square feet or 40 meters. With amazing views of many historical monuments like the Clock Tower, Carmo church and many others that illuminate in the evenings.

We love Faial Island, the pace, culture the marina its our favourite place to be and we have lots of family and friends on the island. We use this house as our holiday home a few months per year the rest of the time we offer the house for rent so that other people have the opportunity to enjoy the city like we do.

Why they chose this property

Casa Amarela has been in the family for more than 40 years, In 2014 we completely rebuilt the house and modernised it to our comfort level. We enjoy letting out this space to travellers visiting the island. We wanted a place near the ferry terminal, just across the street, we love to walk over and hop on a boat taking us to different islands for adventures.

What makes this property unique

the house best feature is that it's located on a quiet end of the city, yet you can easily walk to all the cafe, restaurants, shops, beaches and more. its perfect for us. The house itself has an open. plan living and sleeping areas feels spacious. Everything you need for a holiday is there. There is a delightful courtyard that is visible from the inside of the house which brings the outdoor in feeling. We enjoy going to our roof top terrace At night is amazing you can see all the historical building lit up.
