Please note: No children under 18 years old.. With its high ceilings, large windows and double frontage, the property is both light and spacious with over 1,000 sq ft of accommodation spread over two floors. Downstairs there is a generous lounge with a feature fireplace, and seating on three leather sofas. The large kitchen/diner has integrated appliances, heated slate flooring, and good sized dining table where you can all be seated together, there is a separate WC/utility on the ground floor as well as a compact single bedroom with a day bed. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two of which are large doubles both with TV’s and large wardrobes, the master also has an en-suite shower room. The final bedroom is another single room. The family bathroom has both a shower cubicle and a corner bath. To the front there is a stone terrace with space for outside seating that enjoys a south-facing aspect and elevated views across the park. There is also private parking for up to two vehicles directly in front of the property, which is a rare find in the town centre.
This stone mews was once part of the council offices and has been lovingly transformed into a characterful holiday home. You can explore the town on foot as everything is within a short stroll from your doorstep. With independent cafes, bars and restaurants just steps away. The long golden beach stretching for miles to Sandsend is only a 10 minute walk away. There is lots to see and do whilst holidaying here by the sea. Taste the wonderful fish and chips and work them off with an exhilarating cliff top walk or relax on the beach. Jump on the tour bus to make sure you don’t miss out on everything Whitby has to offer, as well as visit some of the museums documenting the fascinating local history from Vikings to Pirates.
Ensure you take a moment to wander around the iconic Abbey ruins up on the headland. Discover the stunning scenery of the North York Moors National Park and explore the spectacular coastline rich in fossils, and the famous Whitby Jet. Experience a trip on the famous North York Moors steam train, taking you from Whitby to the lovely market town of Pickering, stopping off at Goathland Station, otherwise known as Hogsmeade in the Harry Potter films. The lovely coastal resorts of Sandsend, Staithes, Runswick Bay and Robin Hood’s Bay are all within close proximity. This is an ideal choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable holiday by the sea. This property only welcomes guests over 18. Beach ½ mile. Pub and restaurant ½ mile.
