The county town of Matlock is just 2 miles away and was popular from 1698 until 1950 for its warm springs that provided water therapy to travellers from near and far. Today the town provides a host of fine eateries, good shops, a fascinating museum and at the heart of the town, Leys Hall Park provides a lovely setting for a host of recreational activities including bowls, mini golf, tennis, boating and a children’s play area. Enjoy a thrilling day at Gulliver’s Kingdom with its owl maze, water gardens, nature trails, exhilarating rides and cable car trips over the magnificent Matlock Gorge.
