This suite sleeps six and is a top floor front unit with a full view of Babe's Beach and the 61st Pier. There is a live stream from the top of our porch at Galveston Seawallivevideo where you see the view at any time. This is the best location in Galveston across from the newly renovated Babe's Beach and some of the best fishing in Galveston at the 61st pier. Play on the beach or jump into one of the two swimming pools located at the Casa Del Mar. Later, stroll down the beach and come back to cook your catch on your own stove and full refrigerator or walk down the seawall to many of the closely located restaurants and bars such as The San Luis Steakhouse, Grotto, Blake's Bistro, IHOP, San Luis Bar, H2O Bar, Landry's Seafood or Rainforest Café. Finally, settle in and watch a movie on one of the five televisions. Newly renovated with two smart TV's, a new glass door to the patio, a new sofa sleeper, black out drapes, all new sheets and towels and a Keurig coffee maker. You will have a great time!

Birthday celebration

Took my great nephew for his birthday celebration for two nights. Couldn’t have asked for a better location or view! With the beach right across the street & that beautiful pier that serves coffee in the morning and adult beverages at night, couldn’t beat the location. Bed was very comfortable. Agree with a previous review, need to take carpet out for flooring. Saw the room next-door with Flooring and it just makes more sense. Balcony view was fantastic, could use some cushions for the chairs. Definitely plan on staying here again in then near future. Nephew said best birthday gift!

Perfect Spot for Beach Fun, Views and Relaxing

Clean Condo with amazing Balcony, came stocked with essentials. Few minor hiccups but nothing that overly affected our stay. Beach chairs and toys that were provided during our stay worked great. there is onsite 24/7 security who is very nice. Easy Parking and elevator access to condo.

Rot front door, carpet filthy & needed stretched, all corners of bathroom & kitchen floors dirty, mold in microwave - couldn’t use, living room chair legs so loose couldn’t sit it in, dining chair wicker seats rotted, unraveled couldn’t sit in. Sofa bed is horrible, mattress so thin you could feel the bars. Very poor furniture arrangement, could do better to open up very small space. Flip tv & sofa, put tv on wall & dining table underneath.Get rid of huge coffee table. Some knifes in block dirty, blow dryer didn’t work. Only plus was view.

Really enjoyed our stay…although quite small it was perfect for our little family…the only downside to it is that you are on an extremely busy intersection so if you are looking for peace and quite then this ain’t the place for you but it didn’t bother us at all and would highly recommend this place….thank you for making my family vacation one to remember!

Great location

Great location. Kids loved the bed and the hallway. Basically communities in the kitchen provided. Beach chairs, and beach toys also provided. Bed master bedroom is farm. The oven is not full-sized, so larger premade dinners may not fit. Ice machine available downstairs. Will definitely return in the future.

Great little condo

Loved this condo. It's small, but my family of 5 made it work. We just needed a few night stay until our cruise left and this was way better than a hotel. 13yo was on the pull out, and 8yo and 5yo LOVED the little bunk area. And each had their own tv. The view... totally worth it. We were a little worried that the traffic noise would be really bad. There was some cars and motorcycles that were a bit loud here and there, but didnt take away from the

Right across from the gulf!

This condo is as stated, right across the street from the gulf. The cross walk that’s closest is right on the corner so it makes a walk easier. The owners communication was phenomenal and punctual. Emails were always returned and questions answered The condo is not big, but it was perfect for my teen daughter and I. I’m not a fan of carpet at beach condos, but we just tried to not track sand in. I feel the ceiling fans could use a cleaning as well as the trash can area and just overall updating to the condo, but we truly did love being there and enjoyed the location and condo.

Cozy condo on the seawall

I like long reviews so I share as well. We've stayed at Casa del Mar many times. This unit was top floor corner which was awesome. Beautiful views over the pier. If you've never stayed on the seawall, just understand it can be loud but inside the unit it's pretty muffled. The unit did not have the typical beach theme and was more rustic which my husband liked. Enjoy the ocean but close the thick curtains and you feel like you could be in your own cozy home. The kitchen in these units is small but the owner has it really well stocked with all you need for making meals and a full sized fridge to hold all the food and drinks. The linens provided are plush and comfortable. The nicest surprise was the beach gear (chairs and toys) we found in the closet so you don't have to drag a whole bunch of stuff down with you. Oh, and if you have kiddos, the bunks have their own tvs which I haven't seen in other units so that was cool and would have been a big plus to me if I had smaller children. The owner was very accessible and responsive but wasn't the kind that sends you a bunch of messages during your stay. Overall, we loved the stay and the unit was great. We would stay here again and will recommend to friends.

Easily one if the best locations on the sea wall. The gulf view is unobstructed and you are literally right accross the street from the 61st Street pier, which is a great place to fish and grab a beer. For the price point, this place can hardly be beat. If there any improvements I would suggest would be perhaps a table and chair suitable for remote work, for those of us who never really escape work. The manager was very fast responding to requests. I'd certainty stay here again.

The property itself is a fabulous location, a quick jump to the beach, right along the Seawall, and the view was unobstructed which we greatly appreciated. The room was a bit smaller than we'd expected, could have used some more space for storage, but it was well kept and served its purpose. The two pools are the property were well-maintained and the staff and security were all very friendly. My only complaint was the lack of communication with the owner, but once we got the code, it was fine and we had no need to reach him. Overall, it was just the family vacay we needed and we had an excellent time!

Needs Updating

The location and view were amazing. The only complaints I have are the fact the apartment was outdated. The carpet running through the apartment was noticeable past due for replacement. You can see the folds in the carpet from it being so old and there was a noticeable odor when we entered the room that I assume is from the carpets. We stayed last month in a different apartment that was definitely cleaner and was at a cheaper rate. Probably will not stay again for the price without updates unfortunately.
