About this property
The Town House, Hollesley
Comfortable, charming and full of character, The Town House in Hollesley is a fabulous two bedroom traditional cottage presented with a modern twist. Perfectly situated in a quiet village close to Woodbridge and Sutton Hoo, this newly renovated property is spacious throughout and has a large lawned garden. It’s perfect for couples and small families.
The pretty detached cottage features a dining room with seating for all four guests and a generous selection of books and board games for entertainment. There’s a bright kitchen with everything you’ll need to prepare and enjoy meals, with an additional dining area and lovely views over the fully enclosed garden. The sitting room with original exposed stonework and beams has luxurious velvet sofas and a cosy fire; the perfect, cosy place for resting after a day of exploring the glorious selection of tourist attractions, pubs and restaurants nearby. To the first floor is a generous double and twin bedroom, and family bathroom with bath and hand-held shower.
The cottage benefits from a front garden with paved patio to the front door. And a large, fully enclosed south-easterly facing terraced garden with steps, and seating for six.
Perfectly located in a quiet village, the cottage is less than a 20 minute drive to Woodbridge popular for its fantastic shops, restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions, plus Sutton Hoo is close by which famously featured in the recent film, The Dig. The Town House is perfect for walkers, with Hollesley Heaths and Rendlesham Forest offering an array of easy strolls and hikes. It is also near Shingle Street, an incredible ten mile long shingle spit located at the mouth of the River Alde. The beach is a cove with lagoons and makes for a great day out. Felixstowe is half an hour drive (or eight miles by bike and foot-ferry) and offers fantastic sandy beaches, Landguard Fort, Pier and Sea Front Gardens. It’s the perfect base for all the family to enjoy.
