Chapelrow - a wonderful cottage in the Peaks
The property was immaculate and modern, communication from our host, Jacky was swift, friendly and helpful. Co-op was across the road from the secure car park, which was a few seconds' walk from the front door of the cottage.
On arrival there was a welcome box with a beer, bread, assorted jams, biscuits and other items. Wi-fi was fast and reliable, beds were very comfortable, the whole cottage was clean and very well equipped.
The Space Invaders machine in the living room (a great touch) even had original mono and newer colour options!
Perfectly placed to walk into the village, where interesting shops, pubs and the remains of a medieval house can be found among the beautiful surroundings. Photos of the restoration of Churchrow by Darryl and Team were really interesting.
We could not have imagined anything like this for the money, particularly at peak season during school summer holidays and we will definitely be back.
Apologies to Jacky - in our efforts to herd the kids out of the cottage, we forgot to write in the guest book but will do next time.
