Jack Cottage is a traditional 'chocolate box' Peak District grit stone cottage built in 1770. It has been beautifully modernised with with a fun combination of old and new.

The Kitchen
You enter Jacks Cottage through a solid hardwood stable door into the kitchen. Traditional stone floors, exposed beams and a huge fire place have been sympathetically modernised with a boujie pink hardwood kitchen and white quartz worktop, delicately finished with brushed gold fittings. A large 5 hob range cooker is located in the old fire place and we have made sure all the equipment needed to cook a Sunday roast. We have not forgotten all the glassware you will need for some fun nights in. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle, undercounter fridge with freezer compartment and full size dishwasher. We have also displayed lots of fun artwork and a neon sign to create a great atmosphere for family and friends, its a vibe. The kitchen offers great views of the garden from the hand made oak kitchen table.
The Sitting Room
Walk through to the sitting room you will find more wooden beams and a stone fire place with a cosy log burner and basket of logs ready to light. A large plush three person settee and chair are perfect to relax in after a long day of exploring the Peak District, whilst you stick Netflix on the 55 inch smart Samsung TV and chill. We have curated more local pictures and artwork of the Peak District, including stags from the edge above the village. On summer days you can open a door to the garden and let the warming south facing sun in but for winter evenings you will find a basket of blankets for you and the dog.
The Bathroom
On the way the bathroom you will find a place to hang your coat and a basket of tub towels. A quick check in the large mirror and you are in the bathroom. A quartz worktop, pink sink and brushed brass fittings create a light and airy vibe, whilst the rainwater shower is perfect for washing your worries away.
The Stairwell
Journey up the stairwell, but this no ordinary stair well. climbing the stairs is like climbing a medieval tower but don't worry its only one flight of stairs. This has to be our favourite room in the house, a stone stair case warn smooth over time with stone walls and hand carved timber balustrade invites you to the bedrooms.
The Bedrooms
You enter upstairs into bedroom one, stop and wiggle your toes, that carpet is so plush. Bedroom one features two brass super comfy single beds and a work station prefect for getting ready or catching up on emails. Plenty of power points next to the beds and workstation along with some bright artwork on the walls makes this a relaxing space. Through the single room into the master bedroom you will find a double brass bed, a fitted wardrobe with hanging rail, shelving, iron and small dressing table. We carefully selected this Hypnos medium firm mattress to ensure our guests truly feel like they are sleeping on a cloud. These south facing bedrooms are perfect for enjoying a cup of tea and a biscuit in bed.
Outside
Outside you enter a world of privacy and quiet. The 6 person hydrotherapy hot tub is tucked away with atmospheric festoon lighting or quietly enjoy gazing at the stars. There are some chairs to enjoy a coffee in the morning sun. Explore more of the pretty cottage garden with heritage stone features. Find the old stone green house, cook up a storm on the BBQ and enjoy eating at the outdoor table. Sun bathe and watch the sun go down on the stone corner sofa.
Utility Room and Outbuildings
Located a few metres from the front door is a separate utility room with access to free washing machine and separate tumble dryer. The perfect setup for muddy walks and long stays.
In the parking courtyard there is a barn for your sole use, it is very secure, alarmed and has a wall anchor and electrical point for bike and e-bike storage or other equipment. Please bring a long bike lock.

The cottage has its own private parking for up to two cars.
