Fantastic location
Sunnyvale is a lovely old Cornish cottage in the valley at Prussia Cove. The garden is beautiful and we very much enjoyed sitting in the garden when the sun was shining. It would have been nice to have better garden furniture and maybe a bbq as the ones provided are very fragile so we didn’t risk sitting on them. There are areas of the garden that are not accessible but this was not listed. Also the garden is not secure and there is barbed wire and broken wire fences in the far bit of the garden which made it not very dog friendly. The cottage itself was large and comfortable however it had very low ceilings which again was not listed and as a family of very tall people we all suffered with banging our heads on the door frame. The cottage is also by a working dairy farm, which we didn’t mind but thought it’s worth mentioning. Maybe a few more homely touches such as hand soap and tin foil etc would have been nice. Also the kitchen is very basic and the oven has no instructions or any print left in the front so took us a while to work out how to work it. A few more pieces of cutlery would be good too. Some of the oven trays didn’t even fit in the oven. Having said all that we really did enjoy our week there, the walk through the woods down to the cove was wonderful and we had the beach to ourselves most days. The teenagers only complaint was the WiFi wasn’t great upstairs! Out check in time was listed as 3pm but when we got there the cleaners were still in.
