My wife and I have been holidaying in the lovely village of Perranuthanoe for last 60 years and this was our first visit to 'Seawards'.We found the accommodation contained everything you would need for an enjoyable stay. The views
are spectacular and the property is much larger than it first seemed. It's great to have decent parking in what is now an increasingly popular village.Communication with the owner was simple and straightforward and we will definitely book again.Perfect stay.

The property was beautiful and much bigger than it looked online. The views were amazing and to be able to hear the waves constantly was so therapeutic. The beds were all very comfortable and the bathrooms were lovely, what a treat to have 3! All was well equipped and really well thought through, a real home from home. Communication was excellent. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect holiday

A property with everything we could have asked for. It was extremely well equipped with everything we needed. Its location is amazing and has the best view from the decking (where we spent a lot of time). It has walks, a beach, 2 cafes and a pub all in a few minutes walk. Many popular places in Cornwall are in close proximity by car from the bungalow. We would definately return!

We have enjoyed a week of holiday here in September 2025. We have found the place ideal for a family and an additional couple which resided in a separate building (Annexe), which is a single bedroom bath (no additional kitchen). Downside of this setup is: when it rains, you could not get to the other side dry. Also no WiFi and no mobile reception in the Annexe, which we solved with a mobile travel router extending the Wifi, placed in the bedroom opposite of the Annexe. Perranuthnoe is a lovely small village with friendly people. Supermarkets are nearby and only a couple minutes drive away. Marazion and Penzance area easily reachable.

Dear Roland
Thank you for the your review and so glad
you had a great holiday at Seawards and enjoyed Perranuthnoe and the surrounding area of West Cornwall.
With regard to the annexe, as stated on the Vrbo website the annexe has a kingsize bed and a set of bunk beds with an ensuite shower room. It is 5 paces away across a paved yard area, which is not covered, so it does depend on the weather, unfortunately I think you had quite a bit of rain whilst you were staying, I hope you found the large umbrella in the porch. You are right there is no separate kitchen as it is so close to the main kitchen. However, I hope you were able to use the kettle in the annexe for that early morning cup of tea or coffee.
As you say, using the wifi extender situated in the bedroom opposite the annexe in the main house, provides ample wifi in the annexe. With regard to mobile reception this does depend on your provider, some are better than others in this beautiful yet slightly remote coastal location.
The views from the house were just wonderful. The house is well appointed and very comfortable. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t hot enough for us to sit outside in the beautiful little garden but we enjoyed a G&T on the deck at the front. Parking is easy across from the house. Wi-Fi is superb! (The upgrade was installed during our stay - thanks Fiona). We were able to walk part of the coastal path from the house. Completely recommend this house and I am very fussy!

Absolutely fabulous!
When I arrived at Seawards for the first time I was totally blown away by the fabulous view from the lounge terrace windows!
The bungalow is self is also fabulous... everything you need with a spacious patio area fully enclosed, perfect for dogs/children.
The lovely two minute walk to the beach and lovely Beach café is also a massive bonus!
I really need my Seaward fix very soon again so I've booked to go back again in April...I can't wait!!

We have just come back from a lovely week at Seawards. The view from the terrace is outstanding, a lovely place to relax with a glass of wine. It’s a short walk to the beach and the Cabin cafe which we recommend trying out (quite a steep walk back). The beach is fairly quiet and very clean, and there’s access, at low tide, to a second beach within a 5 minute walk. The coastal path in both directions offer stunning views. The house itself is very well equipped, it had everything we needed and more. It’s got a lovely homely feel and we all settled in quickly. The outside is dog safe, both to the front and to the side so we could keep all the doors open knowing our dog couldn’t get out.The only thing of note that you can’t see on the photos is that the house is attached to another bungalow and the terraces are next to each other. This didn’t really bother us but if you are after something very private this might not be the one for you.Overall a very lovely house and we’d definitely stay again.

Hi Mette
Thank you for taking the time to write such a comprehensive review, very much appreciated and so glad you had a great week .
We look forward to welcoming you back another time .
Thank you for the feedback regarding the adjoining decking , this reminds me to reinstate the lattice between the 2 decks, which blew away in the winter, That said, in our experience, it is rarely needed as our neighbours tend to sit on the private decking round corner at the other end of their bungalow .
Best wishes

We had walked past 'Seawards' a few weeks after we had booked it the previous year and just knew that it was going to be good, but it exceeded expectations. Perranuthnoe is a great base for a walking/chilling/eating break in Cornwall and 'Seawards' was perfect for us, the balcony being ideal for chilling out in the afternoons and evenings after a stiff morning walk. Well layed out, clean and comfortable. It was very hot and dry during our stay so I watered the pot plants a couple of times, which I hope was the right thing to do. We would love to return for another stay some time in the future and would recommend it to anybody. Thanks Fiona for the stay, and the bit of info. that we needed.

About the host
Hosted by Fiona Hassard
Fiona, David and various offspring live and work in Bath in the South West England. However, we have had long association with West Cornwall having spent many happy family holidays there over the last 30 years. We recently sold a property in nearby Marazion and have now been lucky enough to buy "Seawards" in Perranuthnoe, or "Perran" as it is known locally. We look forward to spending many more happy family holidays with children and grandchildren in this Cornish seaside paradise.
Why they chose this property
"Seawards" is the perfect location for a seaside holiday and holds many happy memories for us of endless hours spent on Perran Beach and other local beaches over the last 30 years.
What makes this property unique
Where to start ? There are so many unique benefits: The perfect sandy beach with golden sand and gentle waves on a hot summer's day; the invigorating cliff walks along centuries old paths, through beautiful untouched coastal landscapes; Summer BBQ's on the beach or on the decking whilst admiring the red gold sunsets as the sun dips behind the hills of West Penwith; watching the spectacular winter storms with waves lashing the granite cliffs from the comfort of the sofa, warmed by the wood burning stove; wandering back up the quiet lane to Seawards after the best dinner in the local pub with the full moon lighting our way, as it reflects off the calm sea. There are so many unique benefits; please stay and you will discover these and many more for yourself.........
