About this property

Mr Harvison's, Ambleside, Lake District

Mr Harvisons is a delightful townhouse in the heart of old Ambleside. Deceptively large, with 2 double bedrooms and a twin room over 3 floors. Both of the double rooms are ensuite, and there is a separate family bathroom with a large freestanding bath.
The property is well located, close to all the central Ambleside facilities, restaurants and pubs, and well placed to walk up to Sweden Bridge, or across to Wansfell via Stockghyll Force
This is a Friday to Friday changeover

Mr Harvison's is well presented with a colourful, interesting interior and furnishings.
The open plan kitchen is well equipped, with the large kitchen table able to seat all six guests comfortably for those important family celebrations. Polished floors on the ground floor with an open fire and worn leather sofas provide a comfortable and cosy space to relax.
The double rooms are both ensuite with well equipped shower facilities, and the separate family bathroom has a lovely roll top bath for a deep soak.
The is a ample secure storage for bikes at the rear of the property with access through the back door.
There is excellent wifi provided and linked to a smart TV and the area has good 3g and 4g mobile signals.

A permit for 1 car to park for free in SLDC car park 2 minutes walk away is provided in the cottage. There is access from North Road, which is straight on to the street, but you can also access the property from the back lane through the Bothy room which also has plenty of hooks for hanging wet coats and storage for boots and bikes.

The property is managed by my business; Wheelwrights Cottages Limited, based in Elterwater. My staff are on hand to support you during your stay.
The property has a secure key box for access, and the code will be provided to you along with directions when you confirm your booking.

Ambleside is a fantastic base from which to explore the Lake District, with a lot right on your doorstep. With a wide variety of shops (a lot of outdoor shops obviously), pubs and restaurants, and a few cinemas for those rainy days with the family.
