Come and unwind at Badger Lodge nestled on the cliff tops in a truly wonderful location. Near the hamlet of Burton, overlooking the picture postcard Cleddau Estuary with ever changing views across the tidal estuary. There is lots of birdlife, wildlife and a host of boats and yachts coming and going. Enjoy a glass of wine from your hot tub where you can take in those sublime views or take in the vista with an early morning coffee from your decked seating area and catch the sunrise - it’s also the perfect spot to dine al fresco. For the more adventurous, 200 yards away is Rudders Boatyard where you can launch your own (or hired) paddle boards, kayaks, or a boat (prior notice required and fees may apply). Or for a more relaxing morning, enjoy a walk along the owner’s private cliff top walk which leads down to the estuary shoreline (the walk is not fenced and steep in places and can be slippery, care to be taken). The local pub and restaurant is a 15-minute walk away to enjoy a spot of lunch. Locally brewed ales and fresh seafood is always on the menu. The Pembrokeshire Coast footpath is also close by.
This spacious lodge is flooded with natural sunlight and boasts an open-plan kitchen, dining and living room with French doors leading out to your large, decked seating area. The well-equipped kitchen is designed around those stunning views and includes a breakfast bar. Each bedroom boasts kingsize beds. After a cosy night in watching your favourite movie, you can soak in the bath; even the bathroom enjoys those amazing estuary views. The outside area here really is superb, with a large, decked area with amazing views and gas barbecue leading to a lawned area with hot tub and new furniture (the hot tub ready morning after arrival as it is sanitised, emptied and refilled after each booking and needs to re heat. Please bring own towels for hot tub and outdoor use).
The historic town of Pembroke is a ten-minute drive away and made famous for its medieval castle and the birth of King Henry the VII. It is well worth the visit to step back in time and take in the glorious views around the mill pond and the town. Travelling further south you can reach the National Trust run Stackpole Estate where you take a stroll through Bosherston lily ponds and out to Broadhaven South Beach. Be sure to visit Barafundle Bay, one of the Europe’s most stunning beaches too. Locally there is a selection of family attractions all within a short drive, including Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park, Heatherton World of Activities and Manor House Wildlife Park.

Perfect if you are looking for peace & quiet. Pitch black at night and silent. The location is beautiful. Lovely sunsets and sunrise. Cosy lodge and had everything we needed. Hottub is good - very private. Plenty of places to visit by car in the area. Would definitely visit again.

An absolutely stunning location with a beautiful view.
An absolutely stunning location with a beautiful view. The lodge is comfortable with ok amenities. The beds could be more comfortable and the whole interior, fixtures/ fittings etc could do with updating. It also definitely needs a better internal way to dry items (towel, swimwear etc), as the electric radiators weren’t working in either bathroom and if you try to dry outside, there’s a risk items will be blown out to sea! Owners were very quick and helpful when contacted for assistance.Recommend hiring the paddle boards / kayaks etc from the boatyard next door for a fun adventure.

For 2 weeks every summer my daughter and I holiday together seeking peace and quiet. Badger Lodge definitely gave us that. Secluded and private yet conveniently located for essential shopping.

Underwhelmed !!
Spectacular views with a lovely hot tub and a generous outdoor decking area. Sadly on arrival there was no welcome pack, no toiletries and we were so glad that we had taken our own towels. The outdoor furniture is badly worn in places - the inner decor needs an uplift and although the interior furniture looks lovely it is uncomfortable - There was only one dishwasher tablet, no hairdryer and we ran out of gas on day 2, bedroom 2 is small dark and was dirty with dust all over the bedside lamps, the housekeeping needs much more attention to detail, not what we expected. We felt the property was similar to a high end caravan and as such, is overpriced. You would have to be very fit to walk down to the pub, The Jolly Sailor, in fifteen minutes and as for walking back up the long hills in fifteen minutes I feel this is very optomistic.
All in all a lovely peaceful location but grossly overpriced and needs some attention to bring it up to the standard we expected for the price we paid.
