The lower level, tiled mudroom entry welcomes you and houses your own private laundry facilities. Opposite the mudroom on the lower level is a storage area with beach and grill equipment where you may also store your bicycles, luggage, etc. during your stay.

The bright upper level, main floor living space is accessible via an interior staircase off the mudroom or via an external staircase that leads to a second entrance off the cottage’s private-use sun deck. The apartment’s interior is centrally climate-controlled (AC and heat).

The upper-level living space is comprised of (a) a well-equipped, full kitchen with granite countertops and modern stainless steel appliances, including a fridge with ice maker, a Bosch dishwasher and a solid surface electric cooktop and range with oven hood, as well as an array of small appliances (automatic coffee maker, microwave and toaster ovens, and electric can opener); (b) a modern, custom-built marble/tile bathroom with rain/hand shower controls, integrated vanity and commode; (c) a sleeping area with a comfy King bed with Beautyrest™ mattress, nightstands, tall dresser and spacious clothes closet; and (d) comfortable recently updated sitting area furniture where you can enjoy cable TV and separate WiFi and dine on Windsor chairs at a drop-leaf dining table for two. All customary housewares and linens (including pots, pans, roaster and bakeware, bedding, etc., added recently) are provided with your rental.

Outside you can relax on your private-use sun deck with dining set that seats four, a sun umbrella, six lounge chairs and side tables. Beach equipment and a barbecue grill are also provided for your use. The oversized, red cedar outdoor shower with thermostatic, stainless steel controls is shared with the main house. If you plan to bring or rent a vehicle during your stay, you will have exclusive use of an off-street parking space.

This premier island retreat is all you'll ever need in a quiet, in-town neighborhood, that's just ~10-minute scenic stroll to the Island’s many Main Street shops, restaurants, bars, museums and entertainment venues. Tuck’t in Back Cottage is also close to the island's main grocery and convenience stores and other shops, restaurants, nightlife, theaters, Nantucket Harbor, bike paths and beaches.
