Watch the sun rise over the Atlantic as you sip your coffee or tea from chairs on the balcony of this second floor ocean-front apartment above the garage next to the main house. Enjoy the evening from the same seats with a different beverage after a day at the beach or riding the bikepaths to town (bicycles included) as moonbeams shimmer the water to the horizon. When it gets cooler, go inside and light a fire. Read or watch your favorite show or movie on the screen above the dancing flames.
Named after the primeval spirit of the sea, Thalassa, your getaway space, has an open view of the ocean. The cathedral ceiling in the living area makes it spacious. Clean, simple decor and wood floors complement the airy feeling of the apartment. The bedroom has a king size bed and ample closets; the well equipped kitchen and bathroom are new.
The apartment is within walking distance of the village of Sconset and the beach.

Amazing stay with my husband for our first wedding anniversary! Kate was very responsive and the apartment was beautiful and just what we needed. Bikes and beach chairs being included was a big plus! Definitely plan on staying again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay in Sconset! We stayed for 5 nights. The location was very walkable to the Sconset restaurants and market. We loved sitting on the deck with coffee or a glass of wine watching the world go by. We were there in a heatwave and were very grateful for the cold AC! Thanks for a great stay.

Great property!

Perfect apartment with ocean views, cute place! Less than a 5 minute walk to the shuttle to get around the island. Bike rides out to the light house we're fun. Would highly recommend!

Magical Sconset Apartment.

We had a wonderful and perfect stay in Sconset. The apartment is exactly as listed: airy, bright, and the view is amazing. There are bikes to use and the walk into Sconset is 5 min thru quintessential quaint streets. Kate is a great host and we look forward to returning!

Amazing vacation in Sconset

We had a great long weekend vacation here on Sconset. The garage apartment is a perfect little spot in Sconset with amazing views. Enjoyed sitting out on the deck with gorgeous views of the ocean. The bikes with baskets were really nice and made getting around so easy. Thanks for having us!

Truly heaven on earth

Words can not do justice. The location is the best the island has to offer. The space was out of a magazine , and Kate could not have been more gracious. For anyone lucky enough to find open dates here , grab them ! Truly an unforgettable stay. We will for certain be back next year.

The view is OUTSTANDING!!!!

What a view, to sit on the porch at night with a drink, listening to the waves crash was a dream come true. The wife and I also sat on that very same porch in the morning and watched the sunrise, truly breathtaking. The place itself is very comfortable and offers plenty of space for two people. If I had one criticism it would be the refrigerator did not get very cold (that is being a nit picker). I would highly recommend staying here for a nice romantic getaway.

Beautifully decorated and comfortable

My husband and I just stayed at Thalassa for three nights over the long holiday weekend. This was by far the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. Everything from the start was perfect. The owners, Kate and Harrison, communicated quickly and politely prior to us showing up; giving us very easy check-in details. They even gave us their free parking pass to the Cranberry Festival after I told them we were planning on going and a coupon for a free pint of organic cranberries! The apartment is so well maintained and appointed. They have thought to provide every possible amenity that you could need for a couple of nights away. The linens and towels are of the highest quality. There is stunning local artwork displayed throughout the apartment. An espresso machine (with pods) made our mornings even more enjoyable. We biked down to Sankaty Head Light (with the bikes they provided) and explored the quaint side streets of Sconset. All of the entertainment was up to date with a Bose sound system, premium cable tv stations, and a quiet ac/heat ductless unit to boot! The views and serenity are hard to beat. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful piece of Nantucket with us Kate and Harrison!

We had such a wonderful stay in charming Sconset. The space was beautifully kept, serene, and had everything we needed for an out weekend. Its location couldn’t be better; just a short stroll to the beach and the heart of Sconset. We loved the quiet and peaceful setting, yet still being so close to everything.
