Magnificent loft located in the heart of the historic centre in the San Polo district. The magnificent terrace of this apartment offers a view of the most beautiful point of the Grand Canal (where the Historical Regatta of Venice ends). The apartment consists of a spacious open space, a double bedroom, a room with two single beds, a complete and independent kitchen, a bathroom with a bathtub and, indeed, the magnificent terrace (altana) overlooking the Grand Canal. If you have the opportunity to book this place, I would! We loved our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The roofdeck and Grand Canal views are the true star of this property - just amazing day or night. Other highlights were the ease of getting around Venice (gondola ferry right outside the front door, around the corner from the S.Toma vaporetto), nearby market and cafes, and lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood.Some things to keep in mind that do not reduce my rating are that there is another flight of stairs after the elevator, so anyone with mobility issues might want to consider that. And the bathroom doesn't really have a stand-up shower. The roofline is slanted so the shower head is very short. Didn't concern us, but good to be aware ahead of time.
