Please note: No children.. Once a humble 17th-century pig house and barn, The Cottage has now been lovingly transformed. This quaint cottage offers a warm and welcoming escape, inviting you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and rich history of the region. Characterised by its sandstone walls and a pantile roof, this is the ideal base for exploring the diverse wonders of the area. Within a short 10-minute drive, you can find yourself on the golden sands of Skinningrove Beach, where the serene waves of the North Sea beckon. Alternatively, in just 5 minutes, you can be on the vast, heather-clad moorland, laced with scenic walking trails that are a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts.
As you step inside, you’re greeted by a compact yet well-equipped kitchen, setting the stage for delightful meals prepared with local ingredients. Adjacent to the kitchen, you’ll discover the first bedroom, offering a double 4-foot 6-inch bed and upstairs a single bed; a shower room with a toilet is also located on this level. A gentle descent of three steps leads you to the open-plan living and dining room, where a glass door invites you to step out into your own private enclosed garden, complete with a picturesque cherry tree at the centre of the lawn. Above the living area, a mezzanine level features an additional single bed tucked under the eaves, providing extra sleeping space but also doubles as a settee with lots of cushions to watch the beautiful sunsets and read about the local area.
