About this property

The Old Potting Shed, Kirkbymoorside, North York Moors

Tucked away in the heart of the charming North Yorkshire town of Kirkbymoorside, this lovely cottage provides an ideal base for families or couples looking to explore this beautiful part of England. Just off the town's main street, The Old Potting Shed is a garden-themed mews cottage set in a pretty, communal walled garden with its own enclosed, private patio area for al fresco dining or enjoying the afternoon sun.

The Old Potting Shed is in many ways a hidden treasure, providing a cosy hideaway set in a lovely garden, just moments from Kirkbymoorside town centre. The spacious sitting room features beamed ceilings and an exposed stone fireplace with wood burning stove. The stylish furnishings are enhanced throughout by individual photographic works of art created by the owner to complement the property's garden theme. The open-plan kitchen/dining area offers a pleasant place to dine for up to four people, as well as all the practical equipment and white goods you need if self-catering for your holiday.
Stairs from the dining area bend to the left lead to the first floor where two inviting bedrooms are presented. A light and airy master bedroom hosts a king-size bed, and a second bright bedroom offers twin beds (can converted into a super-king bed on request). These rooms are served by a family bathroom with a bath and shower overhead,

The location of the property offers an oasis of calm within a stone's throw of all the shops and eateries of Kirkbymoorside. Rare for this location in the historic conservation area of the town, the cottage also benefits from off street parking and a garage with secure bike storage. There are a number of public footpaths and interesting walks around the town that can easily be accessed without even taking the car out of the drive!

Kirkbymoorside is a great base for cycling in North Yorkshire, indeed the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire ran right through the town. Dalby Forest mountain bike trails and outdoor activity centre are just 30 minutes away. The town's 18-hole golf club is also just around the corner from The Old Potting Shed.

This lovely cottage is the perfect place for a romantic getaway, a break with friends, or a family adventure in North Yorkshire.

Fantastic property in a beautiful setting

The Old Potting Shed was a beautifully quaint property in Kirkbymoorside, Yorkshire. It was spotlessly clean and I feel went above and beyond on appliances and equipment - there was even children's cutlery in the kitchen drawers! The neighbours were lovely and we even saw the resident hedgehog. Will definitely return.
