The living area has high quality furniture with a fresh Scandinavian style and a woodturner for cosy nights in. The owner lives nearby and can sort out any queries promptly. Within walking distance of local amenities ( including a cinema) shops and restaurants and with a wealth of hikes straight from the doorstep, Ambleside's central location to the lakes enables guests to visit many other places in the local area. Windermere Lake and its boat tours and water sports is within a short stroll from the property and the whole area is nestled within spectacular mountain views.

Why they chose this property

I chose this area is it is stunning and has something for everyone. Great walking, water sports and boat tours, a wealth of fine restaurants and shops. It has literary connections, such as Beatrix potter, Coleridge, Wordsworth and Ruskin. It has an array of beautiful gardens and castles to visit.

What makes this property unique

It has only recently been refurbished and has huge bathrooms and showers. You can climb Wansfell from the doorstep. It is quiet yet not remote with easy access to the amenities of Ambleside.
