Wick Mill is a wonderful place to go for a complete retreat and break from the hustles and hassles of a busy life. The cottage has been very tastefully decorated and the furniture is good quality, making it very easy to relax in the living room and sleeping areas. The open plan layout makes it light and airy and the two double doors to the gardens bring the outside in, weather permitting. The garden is well maintained and a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the local wildlife. The only reason I marked the local amenities as average is that there is nothing to do within a 30-minute walking time. But this wasn't a problem as I had gone well stocked with food and drink, so I was more than equipped and happy to stay in the cottage and gardens to enjoy this wonderful property and setting.

Peaceful Retreat - we were lucky enough to stay here for an extended weekend (8 - 11 November). After a very difficult few months we needed some time out to switch off and relax and staying at Wick Mill did just that. It had all the comforts of home and was spotlessly clean. We stocked up on food and wine on the way and cooked some beautiful meals and locked ourselves away for the weekend. The weather was kind we were able to sit on the patio with a morning brew. Inside there’s a cosy sofa and Netflix on the large tv. The kitchen has everything required for meal times. Bathroom is lovely and the bedroom is very spacious and the bed…..huge. We both slept so well, the best we had for months! Communication with the owner (Vicky) was great - all questions addressed promptly and she was happy to assist where she could. Provided us with some directions for walks etc. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
