About this property

Pretty Yorkshire Stone Cottage Harome

A charming stone cottage situated in the picturesque village of Harome, 3 miles from the market town of Helmsley. This characterful cottage is up to date with everything you need without losing original features of beamed ceilings and a cosy log burner. The cottage offers luxe accommodation with a spacious kitchen, two delightful bedrooms, a power shower, bath and well equipped kitchen. A cosy sitting room with open plan dining area. There is a little garden outside with a table.
The space
The Cottage is cosy and warm with a log burner and a basket of logs included for your stay. The crisp white bed linen and fluffy towels are hotel standard. A gentle stroll from The Cottage brings you to two excellent village inns including the Michelin starred 'Star Inn' within 5 minutes. Both pubs serve very good food - best to book in advance. There is a village green with a duck pond, whilst numerous footpaths provide plenty of walking opportunities in this pretty area and along the banks of the river Rye. Helmsley offers an array of independent shops and tearooms situated around the village square, with a 12th century castle, and a pretty beck meandering through the centre. Highly recommend 'Bantam' for a meal. A superb base for exploring the North York Moors, visiting the many stately homes and museums in the area, such as Castle Howard, Beck Isle Museum and Duncombe Park. With the moors, the seaside towns of Whitby and Scarborough a very easy drive, a lovely base to enjoy the best of Yorkshire.
Guest access
There is roadside parking available directly outside the Cottage.
