Set at the foot of the Epynt mountains a few minutes walk from the village of Llangammarch Wells, this comfortable 200 year old cottage puts you at the heart of nature - you can enjoy walking, mountain biking, riding and a host of outdoor activities. The Brecon Beacons, just south of the cottage is the first International Dark-Sky reserve in Wales.
The space
Ceiros Cottage provides you with a total escape from the stresses of daily life. The cottage has been tastefully refurbished to give you a cosy rural retreat with all the modern conveniences you need. Only a few minutes from the village of Llangammarch Wells, you can walk to the post office/shop and the beautiful river Irfon.
Guest access
On the ground floor is the living room with welsh oak floorboards, a comfortable sofa and armchair and a woodburner in the inglenook fireplace for cosy evenings in - wood is provided free of charge. There is also a freeview TV with DVD player and blue tooth speaker. The kitchen has an electric cooker with fan oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment and washing machine. The spacious bathroom has a bath, separate shower cubicle, basin and loo.
Upstairs are two bedrooms - a double room with a view of the Epynt Mountain, and a twin room with a double aspect, looking towards the Epynt on one side, and the Cambrian Hills on the other.Heating and hot water are provided by solar panels and a woodburner, encouraging efficient use of resources and sustainability, whilst oil fired central heating ensures heating and hot water are always available.
Bed linen and towels are provided, and the beds will be made up when you arrive. A cot, high chair, stair gate and fire guard are available if required.
In the garden, there is a seating area from where you can relax and enjoy the views towards the Cambrian mountains.
Wifi internet access is available and free - just bring your laptop.
There is ample parking space for two cars next to the cottage.
The cottage is adjacent to the owner's property.
Other things to note
If you want to bring a dog, please let me know. Dogs are normally very welcome, but we ask that they're kept off furniture, and on leads outside as we're surrounded by farm land.
