About this property
Breathtaking Sea Views, Two minutes walk to Beach - Mawgan Porth, Cornwall
Our beach-side hideaway has breathtaking views over the stunning sandy beach of Mawgan Porth on the North Cornwall Coast. The modern south facing two bedroom apartment has a large open plan living area which opens out on to the terrace and communal lawn overlooking the beach.
A two minute walk from the front door and down the sandy path through the dunes takes you to the epic beach or South West coast path. Three minutes walk the other way past the pitch and putt golf course takes you to the shops, places to eat and pub in the village centre.
Mawgan Porth is a family friendly cove, located on the rugged stretch of coastline between Padstow and Watergate Bay. Popular with surfers, families and outdoor explorers, the location is a great base for exploring the Seven Bays coastline and other Cornish gems such as the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Minack Theatre, Padstow and Bedruthen Steps. The village has a pub, seafood restaurant, deli and shops, takeaways and surf school.
Explore the South West Coast path from the door or get your wetsuit on for a surf lesson with King Surf, open all year round.
3 White Lodge is a contemporary two bedroom home, on the ground floor of a small sea front block of apartments. Our little family business is called Coast Hideaways - we've refurbished, designed and look after our special places by the sea in Mawgan Porth, Cornwall and The New Forest.

The open plan living space has double doors leading out to your own patio and the communal lawn with views over the beach and headland. There’s a comfy corner sofa and a dining area with a table for four.
The good sized kitchen has everything you need for a change from the nearby restaurants and cafes including a dishwasher, full size fridge freezer and washing-drying machine.
Bedroom 1 has a king sized bed with a pocket sprung mattress and crisp cotton sheets. There’s hanging space and a chest of drawers.
Bedroom 2 has two single beds. We also have a travel cot and high chair if required - please let us know on booking.
The modern family bathroom has a bath with shower over.
We welcome families. Sorry, but we can't accept pets - it's a condition of the lease for all of the apartments in the building.

What an amazing location!
What an amazing location! We were so lucky with the weather. Claire was an awesome host and the surf was excellent. Recommend 'Married to the Sea' for boards. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Just a really positive experience
Stayed with Coast Hideaways twice before and have just booked our 3rd stay. Just a really positive experience. Nice properties in nice locations run by nice people. Very helpful and supportive through booking, the holiday itself in terms of how to get there, access, what to do when there etc. Really good!

Perfect location - we loved the short walk to run, dig and splash about on the beach
What a lovely little visit to Cornwall! As a cornish girl I never really visit my county so this was a novelty for us. I came with my husband and two boys (1 & 4). It is a perfect location for us and we loved making the short walk down to run, dig and splash about on the beach. We had a super tasty dinner at Catch and the local shops were just what you need. 'Our' holiday home suited us very well - clean, comfortable, well kitted out and enough hiding spaces for a few games of hide and seek!

So so grateful
Beyond anything we expected! I'm not even sure how to start this review because it truly was the most incredible place to stay, set in the most phenomenal location with THE BEST view over Mawgan Porth & the ocean. The secret little snicket down to the the beach is the ultimate dream; you weave through the sand dunes & tall grass before the Atlantic Ocean hypnotises you!
The accommodation was by far first class, the apartment had absolutely everything we needed - and we were here for a very long time!! We kept extending our visit as we couldn't leave! The appliances were modern and fully functioning, the bathroom was great - simple but perfect (great shower pressure to wash long hair!), the bed was oh so comfortable and the bedding was super soft and luxurious. We really enjoyed chilling out in the evening, watching tv and enjoying the spaciousness of the apartment. We both worked from home here - myself as a yoga teacher and partner in software. (so much space!)
The garden in front of the property is ideal for yoga, breakfast, dinner, drinks and cosying up to read a lovely book. If you are questioning whether you should book, just do it & thank me later!
My partner proposed to me on our stay here, on one of the most incredible coastal paths we have ever trodden. Whether it rains, shines or is stormy, this is truly the most beautiful place to stay and with the friendly locals ( big shout out to Pete from King Surf School!) it's a no brainer to book!
We are keen cyclists and really enjoyed the cycling, fully embraced cold swims first thing and lost ourselves in the sunset on the beach or at night watching the stars. The place is beyond magical. It's beyond anything we expected and left a really deep mark in our hearts. In fact, my eyes are welling up now - it was everything we could have dreamt of and more.
Thank you so much, David & family for sharing your home with us. It was perfect, the stuff dreams are made of. Can't wait to visit again. Highly recommend!
We're David and Claire and with our two young daughters live in the New Forest. We absolutely love Mawgan Porth - Claire has been coming here since she was three years old. We love the long walks along this magical coastline, beach and surf days, long pub lunches, and making the most of some of the amazing places to see nearby.
Our little family business is called Coast Hideaways - we've refurbished, designed and look after our small handful of special places by the sea - in Lymington & Brockenhurst (New Forest) and Mawgan Porth, Cornwall.
