About this property
Cosy 2-bedroom cottage in the Lake District
Relax with the family at this peaceful cottage in the heart of Windermere.
This cosy house has all the amenities you need to enjoy your visit to the Lake District - a fully equipped open plan kitchen, bright spacious lounge and a double bedroom and twin bedroom, both ensuite. The house is located within short walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants, and lake Windermere.
Perfect for family trips, or a walking holiday with friends, you'll find all you need here at Revel Stones.
The ground floor of the house is an open plan lounge and kitchen, with a dining table against the window. The lounge has a sofa and an armchair, a bookshelf with some books and games, and also a TV with freeview and a DVD player (along with a small assortment of DVD's). The kitchen has an oven and electric hob, a dishwasher and a small fridge freezer. There is enough crockery, glassware and utensils for four people to enjoy their meals.
The bedrooms are located downstairs. There is a twin room, with two single beds with a chest of drawers between (doubling as the bedside table), a large wardrobe and bookshelf, as well as a small reading nook. The en-suite in this room has a square walk-in shower cubicle.
The Master bedroom has a double bed, two bedside tables, a large chest of drawers, a wardrobe and also two armchairs with a small coffee table. The en-suite in this room has a bathtub with an overhead shower.
Between the two bedrooms is a small hallway, in this hallway on the wall is the central heating controls, and also the washing machine can be found behind the cupboard doors. Please note, there is no tumble dryer at the property, so guests will need to hang any clothes to be dried on the electric clothes horse, which can be found below the washing machine. Please message me for heating instructions!
The backdoor is behind the kitchen and leads down into the garden patio space. Please note that this space, as of Dec 2022, has been securely fenced off, so fury friends and childr
This quirky cottage is split over two floors. You enter the property into your lounge/reception room, where you will also find the open plan kitchen. At the rear is the staircase that leads to the floor below, where the bedrooms can be found, both of which have ensuite bathrooms.
The front room has plenty of comfortable seating, a large dining table that seats 4 (with extra foldaway chairs underneath) a selection of books and games, and also a TV with freeview and a DVD player (along with an assortment of DVD's). The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and a small fridge freezer. There is also plenty of crockery, glassware, utensils, pots, pans etc!
The bedrooms are located downstairs. There is a twin room, with two single beds and plenty of drawers/hanging space. The en-suite in this room has a square walk-in shower cubicle.
The Master bedroom has a double bed, plenty of storage across chest of drawers and wardrobes, and also two armchairs with a small coffee table. The en-suite in this room has a bathtub with an overhead shower.
We also have a washing machine at the property that guests are welcome to use.
At the rear of the property there is a small enclosed patio space for guest use.
There is a private parking space opposite the property, directions to which will be sent upon booking.
Infants/small children are welcome. However, please be sure that you have read all the details and decided that the house will be suitable for you. We do provide a travel cot, and there is a washing machine and a bathtub available at the property, which are all useful when travelling with young children, but we do not provide any children's cutlery or crockery etc., nor is there any baby proofing. If you have any concerns about the suitability of the house for your travel needs, please get in touch.
