Paradise Cove on Norris Lake w/ Kayaks

Listing Description:
Beautiful home located in a quiet country setting on pristine Norris Lake in the back of Dodson Creek Cove!. This property has a great floor plan, outdoor living and the perfect location on Norris Lake. Conveniently located 10 minutes to Maynardville, TN and only 30 minutes to downtown Knoxville. We are neighbors with Beach Island Marina & Bubba Brews! The home comes with a shared dock with our other property there & 1 boat is allowed per house. Our pontoon rental stays in the third slip!

The Space:
-We have multiple pontoon rentals available upon request. You must have a valid boaters license or be born before 1989 to operate. Please note we deliver the boat to the property & the boat can be taken out anytime during your stay, just note per our insurance, the boats are not to be taken out after dark. All Bookings must be made a week in advance to guarantee delivery. All boats must be returned with a full tank of gas to avoid additional charges. Please note we do not rent tubes but local marinas do & the boat is to be returned to the house after the rental period is over.

Rates are as follows:

Pontoon rental - $325 per day plus taxes & $50 insurance & taxes.

-There are also kayaks included with the rental close to the dock. Please note that we do not provide life jackets. Please be sure to return to the kayak rack at the property once finished!

-The home is located at the end of Dodson Creek Cove right past Bubba Brews & Beach Island Marina on Hickory Valley Rd!

-The home is equipped with a spacious kitchen equipped with a standard coffee maker, dishwasher, large fridge, stove, microwave, & a large kitchen table! The home also includes a hot tub, weber gas grill with propane on site that we provide, KUB Fiber WIFI, & Samsung Smart TV’s throughout the entire house as well as a beautiful patio area!

-There is a shared dock with our other houses there for use w/ a swim ladder! One boat is allowed per house. Our pontoon rental stays in the third slip! Your trailer can be left at the property & you can put in at Beach Island Marina (5 mins away)! The dock does not have power currently.

-Please note, this part of the lake is considered seasonal water and although you'll have normal lake levels from May to later September. The lake levels are lowered by the TVA in the Fall and raised again in the Spring & can fluctuate year to year.


Guest Access:
The entire house is available & no more than 4 cars allowed at the property & 1 boat per house.

Other Things to Note:
-Check in is at 4 & Check out is at 10 & you must be 25 to rent
-House includes All Linens, bath towels, pots, pans, utensils, baking sheets, etc.
-A STARTER supply of dish soap, dishwasher pods, paper towels, a roll of toilet paper per bathroom, & trash bags (indoor & outdoor)
-Recommended items to bring: Extra trash bags, paper products, soaps, detergents, toilet paper, beach towels for hot tubs or lake, & all personal soaps, shampoo, & conditioners.
-4 Car max limit
-No smoking or parties allowed anywhere on the property.
-We provide all firewood & propane tanks.
-There are outdoor security cameras for protection since this is a year round rental.
-Check in and out times are firm unless approved in advance.
-Nearest grocery store is Food City which is 10 minutes away.
-No pets are allowed at our properties
-WIFI is 1 GIG KUB Fiber with a wifi mesh system throughout the house
-There is another property beside this one if you need larger groups. The Gray House sleeps 11 in beds.

Perfect spot for a lake vacation

The house was great — and exactly as described and pictured. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. But the gorgeous Norris Lake cove it’s on really was the star of our long weekend. We had so much fun kayaking around the quiet cove with so much wildlife and character. It’s all tucked back with little boat traffic, but it was still easy to get onto the main channel on our boat day.

Great Norris Lake rental

Great house in a quiet cove, easy walkt to the dock and easy access to open water. Really nice area for SUP and kayaking. The house met all our needs and gave plenty of space for us and other adults to spread out. The hot tub was a big hit. Roads to access are well paved and easy to navigate (some TN roads are really, really narrow). We would defintely stay here again.

Gorgeous home in a beautiful setting! The home accomodated our family of 6 + grandparents + a friend! Plenty of space to spread out and the bunk room was a huge hit for the kids. We loved fishing and kayaking on the lake, relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying the fire pit. If traveling with a large party I would definitely bring extra paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags as only a few were provided. Other than that a great vacation spot!

We love this spot on the lake. Tucked back in a beautiful cove, but close enough to the marina. Gunner was fantastic to work with. The optional boat rental was perfect-no hassle with pick up or drop off, right there waiting for you at the dock!

Great location!

We rented this house and the house next door for our large extended family and it was great! we love the quiet cove to fish, swim, kayak, paddle board or just float! there were a few beds that weren't very comfortable and we would also suggest adding some shade to the deck. Otherwise, we would definitely go back. The property manager was great to deal with! we also rented pontoon boats through him and it was very convenient and reasonably priced compared to the nearby marinas. overall-pretty happy!

The place was lovely. We enjoyed our stay greatly. We were disappointed when we didn't have internet on the last morning of our stay. When the property says it has wifi, it should be for the duration of the time you pay for. To not have internet to work, let the children watch something while we prepared to leave or even to have the map on our phone to route ourselves out was incredibly frustrating. All that being said, as long as the wifi issue was included the entire stay we would definitely choose this place again.

Beautiful and spotless

The property was as advertised but much more stunning in person! The lakefront location was an easy walk to our own covered dock without steep steps and made it easy to go to boats multiple times per day with young children and belongings. The home was updated and super clean. We were a little reluctant in this time of COVID to stay away from home but this home was spotless. I always go in and wipe down all surfaces once arriving at a vacation rental. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the entire home was on our arrival. It was well suited to our family and the game room had the capability to sleep 5. The only suggestion that I have was that the mattresses in this room were not comfortable. There were ample towels and starters of toliet paper, paper towels, soaps and dish soap. Kitchen had some staples, like salt and coffee filters which are simple things but very vital if forgotten. The furniture was solid and looked new and very comfortable. Ample TV's with lots of choices for viewing. I highly recommend and would definately love to stay here again! Gunner was very responsive and easy to communicate with him for any questions. We came from Cincinnati but it was surprisingly easy to reach location as we usually stay near the Lafollette end of lake. Location was only a problem for reaching a grocery store as we cooked in the entire time and needed to purchase a few items. It was likely 25 minutes to grocery but very drivable. There may have been other options heading in another direction but we headed into Maynardville. Once we arrived there it was a great grocery with bakery, deli, and wide selections of options. Our family frequently visits Norris Lake and this has been one of our favorite places to stay and fit our needs perfectly. I highly recommend and hope to return next year.

Spacious with a great location

Nicely decorated and spacious accommodations. The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything we needed to cook and have meals. The table for all 7 of us comfortably. The deck and hot tub were nice. There area so many beds we didn’t need them all! The converted garage was a great place for our teens but the adults were in there too playing table tennis! We found out after we arrived that they just started boat rentals and we rented a beautiful sparkling clean pontoon for one day. Excellent communication throughout with Gunner. He was informative and kind. We would definitely rent again.

Nice Property

This was our first trip to Norris Lake and enjoyed it enough that we plan to return. The house was nice and comfortable. The only issues I would point out are minor. The coffee table in the living room is not “kid friendly,” sharp corners! The dock has a pretty big step up to get on it. And lastly this is a plus and minus, the house is way off the lake in a quiet cove which was great for swimming/kayaking but it’s quite an idle out to the lake. But overall it was a nice house and we really enjoyed it!
