About the host
Hosted by Savvas

Hi, I'm Savvas. I was born in Thessaloniki, I am a composer and for the last 20 years I live in the center of Athens for business. This status of musician allows me to consider Athens a big city, which can offer quality of life with the right choices!
Why they chose this property
The apartment is located in Pagrati, a breath away from the historical center of Athens. Pagrati is a preeminent urban neighborhood of Athens where many personalities of modern Greece lived, grew up and created, such as the Nobel Prize-winning poet Georgios Seferis, the composers Thanos Mikroutsikos and Eleni Karaindrou, the director Nikos Koundouros, the painter Alekos Fasianos, the former President of of the Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias and many others. The personalities most connected to the area, however, are the composer Manos Hadjidakis, who lived in Pagrati for the longest and most creative part of his life, and the conductor, composer and professor at Boston University Theodore Antoniou. Pagrati is a safe area, full of beautiful restaurants, cafes, shops and pedestrian streets that one would love to walk and explore.
A breath away from the apartment are the Panathenaic Stadium, the National Garden and the Zappeion Garden, the National Gallery, the Basil and Elise Goulandris Foundation, the National Research Foundation, the Athens Conservatory, the Byzantine Museum, the Museum of Cycladic Art , the Athens Armed Forces Officers' Club and the War Museum.

What makes this property unique
"Archive" is located on the ground floor of a five-floor building and functioned for years as an "archive" with music manuscripts, sheet music and audio-visual material of the world's contemporary symphonic music. It was recently renovated based on its historical and artistic value, but also with respect to the aesthetics of the wider area. The materials used for its renovation and equipment were chosen to contribute to a comfortable and quality stay for guests.
