The apartment is located in Pagrati, a breath away from the historical center of Athens. Pagrati is a preeminent urban neighborhood of Athens where many personalities of modern Greece lived, grew up and created, such as the Nobel Prize-winning poet Georgios Seferis, the composers Thanos Mikroutsikos and Eleni Karaindrou, the director Nikos Koundouros, the painter Alekos Fasianos, the former President of of the Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias and many others. The personalities most connected to the area, however, are the composer Manos Hadjidakis, who lived in Pagrati for the longest and most creative part of his life, and the conductor, composer and professor at Boston University Theodore Antoniou. Pagrati is a safe area, full of beautiful restaurants, cafes, shops and pedestrian streets that one would love to walk and explore.
