Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Town: The pretty North Yorkshire village of Hovingham sits amidst the beautiful countryside of the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is a real gem, with a beck running down the high street, two excellent inns, a traditional village shop, a tea room and a bakery. There are excellent walking and cycling opportunities from the village itself, as well as easy access to the beautiful National Park. The stately home and gardens of Castle Howard are just 4 miles away, and the market towns of Malton and Helmsley are 8 miles away. Historic York and the attractions of the East Coast are further afield but well worth the trip!

Charming

Charming cottage in beautiful Yorkshire village. Cottage was clean and well presented with everything you would need. Welcoming and bonus of games and toys that our children enjoyed as did we. Helpful neighbours too x

Relaxing time away with friends

Property was lovely, everything you would need was provided. Conservatory, garden & safe parking were a bonus especially as all 3 of us are in our 70’s. Castle Howard is only short trip from cottage, York within easy reach, we used the park & ride scheme as went to York Minister & the Shambles . We explored the whole area including trip to Scunthorpe beach. Would also recommend the Joseph Rowntree theatre in York, we had a great evening there All in all we had a wonderful week
