Nestled in a peaceful setting just a short drive from the stunning North Norfolk coast, Holt, and Sheringham, Halcyon House is a charming detached holiday home, ideal for families or two couples holidaying together. This well-appointed property blends comfort, space, and convenience—plus it's dog-friendly, welcoming up to three furry friends.

Step inside to find a spacious and thoughtfully designed interior. The ground floor features a welcoming entrance hall, a large and comfortable living room, a stylish and well-equipped kitchen, a utility room, and a dedicated dining area—perfect for shared meals and cosy evenings in.

Upstairs, you'll find three beautifully presented bedrooms: one with a king-size bed, one with a small double, and a twin room that can be linked to create another king-size bed. Two newly refurbished bathrooms—one with a bath, the other with a shower—both include WCs for added convenience.

Halcyon House offers modern comforts throughout, with central heating, double glazing, and everything you need for a relaxing stay. There's even a sofa bed in the living room for extra guests (please note: linen not provided for this).

Outside, enjoy the fully enclosed garden—ideal for kids and dogs to play safely—as well as a private driveway with space for up to three cars.

Lovely short break

Location was ideal for walking and cycling. Close the the lovely coast and key places to visit. Handy to have a couple of pubs for food and something to drink within 15 mins walk, Sheringham Park is less than half an hour walk too. A very comfortable stay with Halcyon House providing good facilities and space for a group of 5 adults. A quiet location as nicely into the village and so away from the main road.

Halcyon house was in a great location for the north Norfolk coastline. The house was very clean and well set up for pets. Great facilities. Would definitely come again

This is a lovely house and very well equipped . It is clearly a ‘home’ rather than just a house. Good quality bed linen, towels etc And all the rooms are attractively colour coordinated. Very pleasant garden although unfortunately the weather wasn’t very kind and we only managed one afternoon in the garden . Excellent location for the Norfolk coastal path, Holt country park, Sheringham country park, Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall. And we added the Oxburgh estate on our way up to Bodham so overall we had a very good holiday in spite of the unseasonable weather for mid-May. A heatwave was starting as we left though .

The property was great it had all the equipment required particularly all that you need for infants. It was lovely and clean and very comfortable. It was ideally located to lots of tourist destinations and very close to the beach. Would certainly recommend and personally would return

Fabulous holiday accommodation

We hadn't planned to go away during Christmas and New Year but saw a cancellation being offered and decided it was a fantastic opportunity. Halycon House is just simply breathtaking. The accommodation has everything you need and more, I felt so lucky to be staying there. It was incredibly peaceful and a great base for exploring the north Norfolk coast. Downside is the WiFi would regularly drop out but this gave time to pick up a book and enjoy life without input from modern technology. I would return in a heartbeat. It's also a nice size accommodation to share with family or friends. Highly recommend

On arrival this well appointed cottage was very clean.It had everything you need both inside and out.Enclosed garden was perfect for our 2 whippets.Local dog friendly pub in the village wasa delightful place to dine.Sheringham only 5 minutes drive also local bus service.Would highly recommend and return.No negative comments to give.Chris & Jane HandfordDogs Ayto & Alma

Perfect, homely, well appointed property. Home from home a pebbles throw from the Norfolk coast.

We had an amazingly relaxing and comfortable stay at this lovely property. 4 adults and 2 dogs enjoyed the spacious well equipped, comfortably furnished accommodation. Well placed for visits and walks to everything on the north Norfolk coastline. Blakeney to Cley, Sheringham to Cromer. Good pub food within a 5 minute walk. Secure and private garden. Off-road parking. It ticks all the boxes. We will definitely be back. Thank you

Fantastic home highly recommended in a beautiful picturesque village only a few miles to the coast

The is a wonderful house well equipped well decorated and everything provided in a beautiful picturesque village very quiet and dog friendly it is located just outside holt which is a beautiful village you must visit the shops and cafes Bodham is small no village shops nice pub though and then you can get to all the seaside places from the main road we visited all the coastal towns from Hunstanton to Great Yarmouth we stayed a week in the house and went out every day the Norfolk broads are a must too on your way to Great Yarmouth we did not get into Norwich city though but called at kings Lynn on way home back to Pontefract West Yorkshire the weather were also beautiful for us so couldn’t ask for anything better But this house is a must I can highly recommended it to any family with dogs the garden is secure too

Lovely house in a great location

We had a very enjoyable stay at Halcyon House. The house was very comfortable and in a great location for exploring the North Norfolk coastline from one end to the other. The shops were nearby and it was easy to walk to Sheringham Country Park from the door. The owners were very clear that dogs should not go upstairs and helpfully provided a stairgate. Ours were not happy to stay on their own in a strange place so I was happy to sleep on the sofa bed which was quite comfortable and meant that they did not wake at 4am whining at the Bottom of the stairs :) The garden was small but perfectly secure (unless you have a jumper who could probably clear the wall!) We all had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend.

Excellent base for visiting north norfolk

A comfortable, well-equipped home with lots of nice touches. Location was great - so many beaches and lovely villages and towns to visit within an hour (and lots within 15 mins). Nice outdoor space, complete with reclining chairs to sunbathe. Be aware that dogs are not allowed upstairs in this property - the owners might like to get a stronger stairgate.
