Church Barn Cottage is situated in a peaceful location close to the centre of Kirkby Stephen, where you find lovely eateries, quirky individual shops and supermarkets. This is an excellent base for walking/cycling exploring the eden valley, Mallerstang area, Howgills, The Dales, Raby Castle & Barnard Castle, North East (30mins drive) and of course The Lake District (approx 45mins to Windermere or Ullswater and 25mins to Kendal or Penrith). There are plenty of local walks which usually take in disused railways and viaducts or simply just to chill and relax.
The house is spread over three floors: Ground Floor - Dining Kitchen and downstairs toilet, access to Garage for Storing Bikes, walking gear, and use of washer/dryer.
First Floor - Small Double bedroom, wardrobe storage on the landing area and Lounge with 2 two seater leather chesterfield sofas, 33 inch TV/DVD with freeview and a good selection of DVDs, sideboard with a selection of games/books, ordnance maps to borrow , the lounge also has lovely views of the fells and Kirkby Hill.
Second Floor - Twin bedroom, single twin bedroom with lovely views of the fells and the Nine Standards. Bathroom with Bath and shower.

Well-equipped, clean and comfortable, in a quiet area and only just round the corner from the town centre. Excellent local walks. We all very much enjoyed our stay here.
