About this property
5 min walk to beach with parking and private sauna
This stunning one-bedroom annexe is ideally located between Falmouth's two best beaches: Gyllyngvase Beach, just a 5-minute walk and Swanpool Beach, a 10-minute stroll. The vibrant town centre is also a 10-minute walk. Inside, you'll find beautiful beamed ceilings adding character to this idyllic retreat. For extra comfort, a cosy fireplace and private outdoor sauna await, perfect for relaxing evenings.
Note: We charge an extra £25 to use the sauna during your stay. (See other details to note)
The annexe is a bright, open-plan space featuring a fireplace, air conditioning, king-sized bed, dining table, TV, and a fully equipped kitchenette. At the rear, there's a small bathroom with a shower.
Outside, enjoy a decked patio with a private sauna, perfect after a chilly swim at the beach. Also a corner sofa that catches the sun all day, ideal for an evening glass of wine.
NEIGHBOURHOOD
Falmouth is a vibrant town full of soul, featuring a brilliant selection of independent shops, cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores. Our favourite eateries include Hooked on the Rocks, Bodega, MINE, IndiDog, Verdant Seafood Bar, and Sabzi.
Falmouth is perfect for beach days, with three beaches right next to us. Gyllyngvase (Gylly) Beach, one of the most popular, offers a sheltered bay ideal for swimming and the award-winning Gylly Beach Café, a perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing drink while gazing out to sea. Just up the road, Castle Beach sits below the Tudor landmark Pendennis Castle. Nearby Swanpool Beach invites you to feast on fresh mussels after a dip in the water.
There's much to explore in the local area too. A ferry from the nearby harbour takes you to the stunning St Mawes, known for its superb dining and historic castle. Watch for dolphins, which often accompany the boats! The coastline between Flushing and Restronguet Passage is a local secret, featuring the stunning Carrick Roads and Restronguet Creek. One of the best walks is from Mylor Bridge along the coast path to the Pandora Inn, a historic thatched pub with a big jetty filled with picnic tables, where you can enjoy a beer while watching people paddle and crab in the water.
A short drive from Falmouth is the lesser-known Trebah Gardens, a tropical paradise nestled against a coastal backdrop. This beautiful 26-acre Cornish valley garden features over four miles of footpaths through canopies bursting with exotic blooms and vibrant tunnels of color. Finish your day at the fantastic Ferry Boat Inn, overlooking the Helford Passage and offering superb seafood, or visit Polgwidden Cove, a private and secluded beach backing onto the Helford River.
