The Farmhouse rests in St Osyth, Essex and sleeps eight guests in four beds with a four seater hot tub.



The Farmhouse consists of a kitchen with electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine, a living/dining room with TV, a cloakroom/WC and a utility. The bedrooms comprise a ground-floor double, two doubles and a bunk bedroom with a bathroom and a shower room. Outside, there is ample off-road parking and a wraparound patio overlooking gardens and patio furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome, but sorry, no smoking. A shop is within 0.5 miles and a pub within 0.6 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Note: There are a few small steps leading to the property so please bear this in mind when booking. Thanks to its beautiful rural setting and well-presented accommodation, The Farmhouse offers guests a memorable stay.

Het huis zelf is prima. Fijne ruime slaapkamers, prima bedden, comfortabele meubels. Het staat alleen wel helemaal vol met snuisterijen zoals een gigantische vogelkooi op tafel die vooral in de weg staat maar ook veel vazen, karaffen, beeldjes etc waardoor het allemaal nogal vol oogt. Het huis was op het oog goed schoon alleen veel stof onder de bedden, op de luxaflex etc en alle deuren waren heel vies. We hadden ook een probleem met mieren in huis.Er waren meer dan genoeg handdoeken en er werd ook nog aangeboden de handdoeken te verversen.Waar het voor ons misliep was met de werkzaamheden rondom het huis waarover wij niet geinformeerd waren. Er werd een vakantiepark op het terrein gemaakt maar dat betekende voor ons elke dag lawaai vanaf 7.30u tot 's avonds (laat) heel veel stof en gruis overal, continue werkmannen rondom het huis, het terras van het huis lag nog deels open en lag vol met puin, kapotte stenen, grote losstaande gasflessen en andere materialen. Zwaar materieel (walsen, vrachtwagens, graafmachines etc) en busjes die steeds rondreden op het terrein waardoor onze kinderen niet veilig konden buitenspelen.Contact met de verhuurder (Sykes) verliep zeer moeizaam (zacht uitgedrukt). We kregen pas echt contact toen onze vakantie van 11 dagen er bijna op zat. Ze hebben geen enkele oplossing geboden. Contact met VRBO verliep beter maar de oplossing die zij al snel boden bleek onuitvoerbaar door de regels waar het allemaal aan moest voldoen.
