Outside, there is off-road parking for four cars and enclosed gardens with a patio area, patio furniture and lawns. Sorry, this is a no pets and no smoking property. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Note: Within the grounds of the property, there is a pond so please make sure children are supervised at all times. Note: There is an adjoining shared field with chldren’s swings which guests are welcome to use. Heather's Cottage is an impeccable property that offers guests a memorable stay in a beautiful location.

About two miles south of Dalston is Rose Castle, the palace of the Bishops of Carlisle, which is not open to the public but may be viewed from the road. Carlisle can be reached in four and half miles, a 2000-year-old city with two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and one World Heritage Site, plus lots of pedestrianised shopping areas, award-winning malls, colourful farmer’s markets as well as a traditional Victorian indoor market. Dalston also provides good access to the beautiful North Pennines AONB and the Lake District National Park, making it a great base for outdoor enthusiasts.

The house is stunning with high end fixtures and fittings. There was everything we needed,Alison left some lovely little extras for our stay, which made us feel so welcome. The area is quiet with some great walks by the river. Pub with great food 5 minsawayffoodfoidgreat food and drink
