Great location near Big Springs and Sam Patch grocery store. Good SxS riding right from the cabin up to Sawtelle peak, amazing views that you can see forever.
Property was excellent - very clean, very well stocked with paper goods and more. Beds were comfortable and location was great for Yellowstone activities and things around island park. Thanks for sharing your lodge.
We come to Island Park every year for our family vacation. This cabin is just off the beaten path on a private lot which provides the peace and quiet we were looking for. Lots of space in the cabin and breathtaking views!
My extended family and I loved our stay here! The property was clean and as advertised. Shaun was attentive and answered all questions quickly!! The hot tub was a huge hit!
This place provided the perfect hub for our New Year’s getaway. A short drive to West Yellowstone to go snowmobiling and visit the grizzly and Wolf discovery center. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. The house was clean and we enjoyed the hot tub after a full day of snowmobiling. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to vacation in the area.
We had a wonderful time at the Moose View Lodge for New Year's 2025. The views were amazing and the cabin had plenty of room for the 8 people in our group. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy meals together. The location is close to the snowmobile trails but secluded enough that you didn't hear or see many other people. The heated garage was a nice bonus and there was plenty of parking for our trucks and trailer. Overall this is an amazing property we would definitely consider staying at in the future.
We enjoyed our stay and even got to see a moose on the first night. Property was clean and communication with the owner was easy. Plenty of room for those with a big family. We had no issues during our stay and couldn't have asked for a better host. The location is perfect for traveling to Yellowstone and many of the other attractions in the area. We would stay here again and highly recommend.
Perfect amount of beds for our party of 9. We all could sit at table and eat together. Moose family sightings 3 nights. Adequate parking for 3 cars. 20 minutes from West Yellowstone. We would stay there again. Owner was quick to respond to our needs.
Had everything we needed & more! The view is beyond amazing! The kids loved the hot tub! The table is awesome to sit around. Not to far from the west enterence of yellowstone. The host is amazing, very helpful & friendly! The house was equipped with everything we needed to cook meals for our group of 12! Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area!
My family came to the moose lodge to spend time together and go snowmobiling. This place was perfect for this. The snowmobile trail and rental shop were right down the road from this property. Plenty of space for all of us and we were even able to bring our canine companion! Nice location with beautiful Mountain View’s and the house had everything we needed and more. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub too! Thank you Shaun for sharing your home and property. The snowmobiling was amazing too!!!
Mostly, really good. Easy access. Off the road, hidden in the trees. Good manager who stopped by a couple of times when he saw us outside.
A few minor issues: downstairs bathroom door hard to close. The upstairs fireplace damper was incredibly difficult to open and close. There is outside lighting only on the garage side. Additional lighting is necessary.
My husband and I were blessed to make a trip with my daughter and her husband and 2 little boys, ages 5 and 9.
They loved it!!!!
The family bedroom was perfect for them. The 5 year old couldn't go to sleep for taking pictures of the sunset and he kept saying its just so beautiful.
We spent 3 days exploring yellowstone and saw 366 bison, as well as coyotes, elk, deer and bears. It was spectacular. The house was great, kitchen was fully stocked, furniture was comfy and plenty of bathrooms.
Shaun, the host, was great. I truly have no negatives.
I am a schoolteacher, so I will always start with the positive. Shaun lived next door, so was always available & quickly responded. We saw him outside a few times, and he was very friendly. The kitchen was very well equipped with anything we could have needed. The full-sized washer and dryer was very much appreciated! The house had lots of space, we never felt like we were on top of each other. We did see a moose run through the property one night, which was cool! There were soooooo many mosquitoes! We arrived in the evening & immediately opened the windows because it had been a warn day and the house was stuffy. The house was full of mosquitoes! We thought it was due to the holes in the screens and messaged Shaun. He quickly responded that he would drop off some more fans and fix the screens the next day, which he did. We continued to struggle with mosquitoes for the rest of our stay. We stopped opening the windows and wrapped ourselves in sheets like mummies at night with fans blowing right on us to blow the mosquitoes away and try to stay cool. On our last night there, our kids were playing the nightly game of who killed the most mosquitoes & they made the observation that there were always more mosquitoes in the upstairs room. My son said, "I've been watching, and I think they are coming in through the fireplace." We investigated and found that the flue was left open on the chimney. Being from FL, we do not have a chimney and would not have thought to check it.
Wonderful Stay! All the comforts we needed and love the hot tub room!
Would stay again.
Quiet.

Why they chose this property
It took me a year to find the perfect property in a great Recreation Area with plenty of space and privacy and a great View of the mountains. This house is a very rare find for this area. Only a couple minutes from the golf course, and seconds from some of the best recreational trails in the area. And let's not forget only 25 minutes from the west gate of Yellowstone National Park.
