About the host
Hosted by Gerri Besgrove
Snugglers Nook is our family holiday home which we love to come and stay at with friends and family. That’s when we’re not working or taxiing our two kids to school, clubs or friends!
Why they chose this property
We love Bude and North Cornwall frequently visiting the area to enjoy the rugged landscape, surfing and people.
Bude is big enough to be vibrant and busy all year round and small enough to retain the beauty and charm of a Cornish seaside village.
Bude is blessed with two fantastic beaches and surrounded by rugged hills. Thera’s a river’s winding its way down to the sea and the canal and sea pool are additions that provide for all possible water sports and swimming for all ages and abilities.
The people in Bude are some of the friendliest welcoming you’ll meet!

What makes this property unique
Snugglers Nook stands-out because of its location, space, comfort, charm and it’s hidden right in the heart of Bude!
All within a few minutes walk are wonderful beaches, walks on the rugged coastal paths or flat walks alongside the river and canal.
The surfing is amazing on Summerleaze beach which is accessible via a flat footpath running alongside the canal, with no steps until you hit the sand!
Bude castle and the canal area just at the end of the lane is where you’ll find local markets and outdoor events or local musicians playing in the bandstand. You’ll also find racket sports and a variety of mini golf and putting options. There’s always something going on and you’ll find restaurants, pubs and cafes no matter which direction you walk from Snugglers Nook.
When you step back into Snugglers Nook on the lane behind the Crescent it’s tranquil and tucked away. Perfect for a family board game or big screen movie on the projector or BBQ on the patio of the south facing garden or reading a book tucked up on the huge comfy sofa.
The busier Bude high street and shopping area has tons of restaurants, cafe, pubs and shops, including supermarkets. It’s just across the river over a footbridge about a minute downstream of Snugglers Nook.
